What does "800MBBEnabled=True" mean for a phone?

What are Three's rates like on Mobile Broadband, anyway?

15GB for £18 / month - 12 month contract
20GB for £21 / month - 12 month contract
15GB for £20 / month - 30 day contract
20GB for £23 / month - 30 day contact

Better offer:-

ID Mobile - 20GB for £20 / Month - 30 day contract (uses 3 Network)

There was an EE MBB Offer running which gave 25GB for £15 / Month but having just clicked the link seems to have ended now

Here is the link, just in case its me

My TiT app popped up a message last night inviting me a apply for a spot in their "better coverage" preview, which I assume is the 800MHz access. After I applied, their was a message that full access (after the preview) was coming in March - though the timeframes might have slipped a bit, since the same message said the preview slots would be allocated in "Early February"

My wife has been invited to take part in a survey about future Three plans! She's still hanging on to the One Plan, awaiting her letter, so it seems a bit weird that they're asking for her thoughts on tariffs!

What phone make/model have you received that on?

I had meant to include that in my post - it's an Xperia Z2.

I don't know if the timing is pure coincidence, but I had been out and about in areas with no 3G coverage and app running and the notification popped up as it reconnected to the WiFi when I got home.

3 seem to have a hint of 4G in Truro now (near the new park and ride). I don't know if it was 800MHz, but my phone did switch back to 3G very quickly despite the 4G signal being quite strong. My phone does not have VoLTE though it did have three intouch running (but no invite like the poster above received)

Nothing yet actually in the city centre.

I have a mobile broadband SIM and I can't get on 800 even with an actual mifi type unit

I am not sure Three has actually set it so that registering in a Mi-Fi, tablet, dongle allows access to 800.

I've asked Three before but never had a response I could trust.

I have no idea myself. I know that the coverage checker did/does switch to the 800 map when I tell it what mifi device I have (which is some Netgear thing, it isn't a model 3 sells), so they must have thought about it.

What's interesting is that the checker currently has "LG Nexus 5" and "Google Nexus 5" listed. LG = no supervoice, Google = supervoice if you update. A sign of things to come? No mention of using inTouch. Or maybe they are farting around with the permitted devices and what I saw in Truro is in fact 800?

I do hope that Google's supposed changes will enable the Nexus 5 for VoLTE. Even after all this time, it would actually help the industry (as well as enabling any other devices that are capable) because everyone needs more people using VoLTE.

I still have one that's going on strong (like the Nexus 7 2013, these devices seem so much faster than more modern devices with custom skins, customisations etc).

When it comes to what the Three coverage checker says, it seems like they let people play around with the settings all the time - hence stuff popping up that isn't strictly accurate because it hasn't happened yet.

Not only would it make sense to sort the tablet/data-only products situation, but Three might also want to advertise the fact. It must remember that it sells mobile enabled tablets and sells mobile broadband SIMs, so besides going on about 'super voice', why isn't Three pointing out the hugely improved coverage to boost MBB sales?

Oh, I forget, Three has little to no interest in business customers and going by the plans, little interest in mobile broadband at all.

The 'Google Nexus 5' appears in the 'new list' of devices that I posted earlier in the week, http://gdurl.com/b3fK, whereas the LG Nexus 5 appears in the 'old list' (pre-update) where it has no additional info like VoLTE/TinT etc, so yes, I'm hopeful that does mean the N5 does get VoLTE (natively), along with other Nexus devices...

Hi, thanks for the information. If I ever need a Mobile Broadband SIM, I'll probably get the £23 deal from Three - asfor £2 more, I can have the flexibility of cancelling or upgrading (on a month by month basis).

Not even contemplating iD Mobile as I heard they don't allow tethering, which would be no good for my Wi-fi Only devices, such as tablets and laptops.

I'm already in a bit of a predicament because I need to do quite a bit of uploading, and have already tethered via Virgin Mobile (despite them not officially supporting tethering).

Anyone got a copy of the latest KDZ file for the G4? LG's servers seem to be down...

I've been asking for about 2 weeks, unlikely you will get an answer, also not on XDA.
For the 3 LG G4 10i is the latest version.

Three looks like they're determined to upgrade every monopole in Guildford to 4G; lots planning applications and work going on. No more old style replica telegraph poles as they only have single input high band antennas, not big enough for the dual required to have 3 4G ontop of all the other services.

I got the same beta opt in on an unlocked HTC One M8.

When is the next Three map update?

Three seem to have been doing a lot of work round my area lately (according to the coverage map) and things have improved a little. Mostly on 3G however. 4G is really badly congested in some areas

Any more 800 being rolled out? I might just switch my main number to 3 if they did my mast. Will do me for the summer.
