I know, I had that in Italy last year I think I'll buy a separate AT&T sim for myself so I get nice unthrottled 4G out there. (Even though I have free roaming on my account, it's rubbish, as you say.) Ridiculous that I get it free but still have to pay someone else to get a proper roaming service. I'd pay Three to unthrottle me if I could, rather than pay AT&T.
I used My Vodafone sim over in the states with World Traveller £5 per day, cost me £40 for the week, I had excellent 4G coverage in both NYC and DC on AT&T,
Very impressive coverage. I got a regular 20-30mb down given such a sense place NYC I was impressed.

Even after uninstalling the app it continues to connect to 800.
It's not until I provision the current play store app that it stops connecting.

I don't know if anyone has tried to see if there's a timeout. I assume there must be one that turns off the 800 if inTouch hasn't connected for a while

I have put another Three SIM in my G3 to see if that might work, and it authenticates but the 4G calling option is now missing in the settings screen!

Thankfully i could force my G4 to connect to 800MHz, i got speeds of ~10Mbps on that. I kept it on that the whole time, i'd actually forgotten i'd turned it on until i got back to my cousins house. 800 coverage was pretty good though considering i didn't notice for around 4 hours whilst i wondered around London.

It was pretty patchy. 800 was pretty good when i forced it.

From my rookie perspective the cell density (for 1800 at least) seems to be pretty low which probably explains the terrible speeds. All the tourist areas had 1800 but the speeds were pretty awful.

EDIT: Do you mean spectrum wise? 15MHz if that's what you're asking.

Yea sorry meant spectrum! Yea so 15mhz isn't really going to be enough in London really is it? They need to bid big in the upcoming auctions.

I know, but I'm going for 15 days so would cost £75, not really a great option then.

(Sorry, back on topic now!)

I know there are problems near Bella Italia, McDonalds and the Trinity entrance where 3G is actually faster. It's fine everywhere else when I went on Monday in terms of speed. I mostly dropped to 3G and no signal when I actually needed to use my phone and thiere was no 800MHz.

The performance problems there would not put me off from continuing to use Three. I barley go there and even then, I'm not usually using my phone when I go shopping for clothes etc.

I have a feeling that there is a problem other than congestion at that mast as EE was only 20Mbps at the same place. I only had a Cat 4 phone as my LG G4 phone has the bootloop problem and am yet to receive it after 12 working days.

Wow. I really messed up with my spelling on that last post. Why can I not edit and correct the mistakes?

Because you only get something like an hour to edit your post after you post it.

I think it's dependant on which phone you have. My Nexus 5X doesn't have the option either yet my partner's Sony Xperia Z3 does. Which phone do you have?

Z2. When I installed the Beta apk it was there.

Ridiculous if they are not supporting my phone as I know it works.

Just got this text from Three:

From Three: Hi, look out for an updated & improved Three InTouch app in your app store. You'll need to reactivate this version while in 3G or 4G coverage. OptOut@My3

So is the 5.1.8 Play version the same as the one shared here earlier? According to LTE Discovery, there's 5 LTE signals and four W-CDMA signals present here. Anyone with a Moto G 4G got 4G voice? Did the activation and it all went through OK.

The 5.1.8 on the Play Store is identical to the beta which I shared last week, I've checked the MD5 hashes and they match.

No 4G option now though, and I've just dug out my Z3, so it doesn't work on that, my G3 or the Honor 5X.

I assume accounts need to be provisioned too?

And the date on the Play Store is March 16th but it obviously wasn't on there until today.

I used to have the 4G calling option until I installed the Play Store version. When I realised this, I immediately uninstalled the app. I then reinstalled the "beta" which also no longer had the 4G calling option. I also now have no signal in my house which is great. Thanks Three ! /s
I'm still waiting for my LG G4 from repair which I assume will no longer have VoLTE and no service menu after they replace the motherboard and flash marshmallow.
