On the 3 compatible phone page, now includes my Moto G 4G and TiT has the 'Use over 4G' option. Not tried it yet but it's there.

I've got 1800MHz LTE at work - had it for about a year, so this is just he icing on the cake, really. No problem at home (WiFi and good H+), or at work, but hopefully very useful in a couple of rural pubs with flaky WiFi that I frequent

I like how at the pub in the beer garden I got an H+ signal or maybe an 1800 mhz 4G if I was lucky but no signal inside and now I get 4G. I'm still really happy with TiT on my Z3 even though making a call is practically impossible. I tend to use WhatsApp instead.

There was some maintenance on my local mast today, left for college at 7AM where there was no 3G service at all. Came back home mid-afternoon to find that speeds and ping had drastically improved. Now seems to typically deliver 20-25Mbps speeds. Managed to get some cracking speedtests. Hopefully it's a sign of things to come.

So I went to a restaurant very close to Bradford University and the Speed Tests on 1800MHz LTE were rubbish (http://imgur.com/kJ2xI7Z) but somehow was able to stream 1080p video from YouTube very reliably so I'm assuming there's some TrafficSense magic happening. I also switched to 800MHz and it was coming from a mast further away which had slight better speeds for download but unusable upload (http://i.imgur.com/lybK6FC.jpg). DC-HSPA+ was very good though (http://i.imgur.com/adwadmH.jpg). I've had a similar experience in Leeds City Centre where 3G is faster.

Slightly off topic:
The internet speeds in this restaurant on Wi-Fi was very good (http://i.imgur.com/P3MdZ14.jpg) and I'm assuming it doesn't use BT or Virgin due to the fast upload speeds. They had the Ubiquiti dishes like in Hull on top of many of the properties here (http://i.imgur.com/Inrq9yS.jpg ; http://i.imgur.com/ia3k6ar.jpg) so I'm assuming the restaurant uses them as well. Maybe Peter Clarke could shed some light on this. I couldn't find the name of the ISP but the wireless router there is a Ubiquiti which has amazing range, but only 2.4GHz.

HD streaming on Youtube for example only requres about 3-4Mb/s at most. Those speeds seem good enough to do almost anything to be honest.

I was getting a consistent speed of between 1.5 Mb/s and 2.2Mb/s yesterday morning. I didn't think 2.2 would be possible on their 800mhz? Must I have literally been the only person using the mast?

I can get 10+ Mbit/s on 800 if memory serves.

That's what Utorrent was saying so technically 1500-2200 kbp/s I meant.

If you mean 2.2MB/s, that's only 17.6Mbps, theoretical max speeds are 37.5mbps. But yeah, you were probably the only one, or one of few connecting at the time, in reasonable SINR conditions.

800 max is as was said, around 37Mbps. Lab conditions, only one phone.
Top end seems to hit about 25Mbps. Some people have got that high. Common speeds are 10-18ish.
In theory, Three 800 speeds should be pretty fast since not a lot of people end up on it for long.

For all of last week, Three only had 800MHz in my town, no 1800, and I got 32Mbps on it That's what it was maxing out at. Now that 1800 is on, I get 83Mbps from it.

I can get over 60Mbps in Hitchin town centre and Welwyn Garden City town centre, but my experience of 800MHz is still woeful.

At a local zoo, in the middle of a forest, and 800 should be rock solid on the map - but like at home, it's very poor and I get 0.5-1.5Mbps max, and often a total suspension of data flow.

3G isn't much better but if I don't force 4G only, it still jumps back and then I have even more spells of no data flow - but if the wind is blowing in the right direction, speeds of up to 5Mbps.

They must have hardly any 800 enabled sites around here, and the coverage maps are incredibly optimistic when they show near blanket coverage for miles upon miles.

The EU data pass now seems like incredibly poor value for money, given that from today PAYG add ons can be used throughout Europe and not just feel at home countries.

Edit: If you are predominately calling within the EU, then you are probably best of calling at 4.3p/min instead of buying an add-on. If you are texting and/or using data as well, you are almost definitely best of buying an add-on unless you are only staying for a few days and using less than 500texts or 120MB of data.

Looks like the old Orange mast near me has finally been MBNL'd. Now getting decent indoor signal and around 20Mbs on 3G so the femtocell can be switched off.

EE 2G still on code 234-33 and 3G moved over to 234-30. EE have a planning application in for 1800 and 800 LTE as part of the site upgrade as well. Although looks like it will still be microwave fed as they are going to add another microwave dish pointing over the River Forth to Fife somewhere.

Does VOLTE work via TIT using the LG G4? I know it was listed on the site but seems to have been removed now,just asking before I decide to buy one.
