What iOS device do you have as you shouldn't need TiT on Apple.
iPhone 6. It's not needed for access to 800 but is needed for WiFi calling

Also another interesting tidbit
http://smartchimps.com/smart-news/ac...-for-three-uk/
0.08% Sounds pretty pathetic, I presume EE are already higher than this? Although one out of every 125 would be 0.8% wouldn't it, so not sure what's correct here. The article is also littered with other errors so this may be one to take with a pinch of salt.
I doubt that EE will be (much) higher right now due to the small amount of people who use VoLTE because EE's carrier profile on iOS 9 is set to data only by default. This appears to have changed in iOS 10 though so once that's out publicly, I expect EE's VoLTE number to increase massively without most people even noticing.

I see Three have quietly removed the Sony Xperia phones purchased from elsewhere, from their SV list.

Right now, all 4G Super-Voice compatible iPhones will be 4G Super-Voice enabled once the carrier settings have been installed, even if they didn't come from Three.

4G Super-Voice doesn't work on other non-Three devices yet however, even if the manufacturer has stated that it's VoLTE compatible. We're working on this, so be sure to check back for updates.

Obviously referring to the car crash that is Android. Google and OEM's have had plenty of time to sort it out and have failed spectacularly. Wouldn't hold my breath......

The point was that they did for a while say Sony devices purchased from elsewhere would work.

Samsung seems to be the easiest to fix: just flash the Three firmware and job done.

VoLTE seems to be working on 1800 for me. Had a call from my mum when i was in town and noticed my phone didnt drop down to 3G, made another call to check and VoLTE is indeed working on 1800.

Handover seemed to work too as when i went into a shop and lost 4G it switched over to 3G without dropping the call.

Edit: Seems to be randomly working and not working, any ideas why that might be? I'm testing it whilst connected to the same site. Currently sat in Asda having a bite to eat.

For some reason when I turn personal hotspot on at work so I can use my tablet, it says not in range. It's worked fine for the past 12 month so is it suddenly not in range?

If EE can do it why can't three? There's even an easy way for Three to do it themselves!

Yes apathetic networks are another problem in the mix.

Coverage map changes:

1800: http://gdurl.com/lkQ3
800: http://gdurl.com/sfeD
Blue = 21st July, Red = today, 26th August

As it's almost been a year since I starting collating these I'll probably do a year-on-year comparison next month

The map now claims I should get a sliver of 800MHz at my house - get a strong 3G signal though and no sign of 4G nearby at present!

Unless they've changed the network configuration, you will only get 800MHz 4G only if no other service is available. Since you can get 3G this is not the case. It's basically the "network of last resort"

Your phone also needs to support VoLTE (or you have a phone that is compatible with 4G calling via the Three inTouch app).

If you're able to force your phone to 4G only you can see if it kicks in. If you have a modern iPhone, your phone does VoLTE but AFAIK you can't force 4G only

Yeah - in some of the rural areas around here I tend to get no 3G signal, and some of them are now showing 800MHz 4G on the coverage map. In a few cases I have actually picked it up, so it is getting better. I've got an iPhone SE. VoLTE working nicely where I can get it!

4G 800 is an overlay to boost indoor voice. 1800Mhz is preferred over 3G, but not 800 if you have a strong 3G signal.

It does seem to be working - I was down at the local tip today, where I never had a signal and indeed even FM radio broke up a bit, and I got 1 bar of 4G - but voice calling was working and I got 5Mbps down (0.3Mbps up) in a speedtest. I believe the mast in question is several miles away so it's not too shabby!

Well Three's 4G network is seriously congested in many parts around Central London, barely pulled 1Mbps in Camden Town, Stratford around 12Mbps D/L, Embankment around 0.05Mbps D/L...

I was in trafford center and my 4g in it was fine but went to the food area and stayed on 4g and the speeds were unusable and phone wouldn't load. I turnt 4g off and back to 3G and it was more useable so I think as more people get 4g devices the 4g network will get overloaded and you may have a better experience on the 3G network. Also with EE reframing some 21003G or applying to ofcom to allow it I'm gonna hope that three with refarm most of the 3G spectrum to 4G and keep 3G as the voice part of the network.

I think the lack of useable 4G was more to do with a lack of pico cells rather than congestion in this case. EE use 4 4G Pico cells, whereas I believe Three are using 3G only Pico cells. 4G 800 even struggles to penetrate in some areas.

Also the 2100MHz EE are refarming is really 1900MHz, and it is likely to be used only for the ESN contract and not the general public.
But refarming 3G over to 4G was spotted in an Three internal document on ways to address capacity, so it will likely happen this year if not next.

Will that be all of the 3G spectrum or a large chunk to keep voice on the 3G network for older devices? I don't know the stats but if I remember I thought three has 35mhtz at 2100 so would it be the case of moving 25 of it on to the 4g frequency?
