Short answer: I think you'd need VoLTE on a non-Three device to be able to use 800mhz, not necessarily TinT.
Longer answer/my thoughts:
From what I understand TinT was originally a way of using Wifi to make calls, it was then later modified to allow access to the 800Mhz band for those supported handsets (no Three firmware required) to allow calls over 4G 800.
I think the G5 already has (native) VoLTE, on the 800mhz band. I assume this is, again, for Three firmware'd devices only.
The TinT app may currently enable VoWiFi on
all G5's however I guess that the Three firmware mentioned above removes the requirement for having the app installed (not sure how it gets 'embedded') and so both native VoLTE and native(?) VoWifi would be enabled, again for those with Three firmware installed.
