No, but I think the same statement could apply to any network. At least it's an indication of what (they think) their network looks like.

The masts though on the other networks' maps at least match what's actually enabled. Three's map seems to show what the ideal coverage would be if the masts were actually enabled but most of them aren't.

A lot of it is just maintenance, presumably polishing their poles.

Can they not do that in the privacy of their own homes?

It's been posted a few times in here that Three's 800Mhz is set at the lowest priority and can't be used unless 3G 2100Mhz is not available.

I'm noticing different behaviour in some parts of Manchester lately; it seems that the priority has been 4g1800 > 4g800 > 3g2100. I noticed this because in an area where there's 3g2100 at around 2 bars on my Z3 Compact, I was instead on 4G800.

I wonder whether they're trying out a new network priority in areas where they have denser masts so won't suffer from swamping the 800Mhz spectrum quite as easily compared to the other 800Mhz masts that are covering huge swathes of land.

Has anyone else noticed this happening?

Yes, I've noticed this happening in Edinburgh too, particularly in the Piershill / Meadowbank area. Would be interesting if they were testing out a new priority system as you say.

Three have actually been doing maintenance in my area over the past couple of weeks. A couple of monopole style masts and cabs in the area were replaced last week, according to roadworks.org/planning site to put in the 4G hardware.
In addition my closest mast has finally been 4G'd for Three too. Separate Three and EE old panels were replaced at some point mid-last year and EE have had 4G since then. Three didn't have 4G until yesterday. Now I've had 69Mbps down/32Mbps up initially, but then more consistently around 45down/6 up.

Anyone here with an LG G5 using Three's firmware (or even non-Three)?
On Three's devices list its now listed the G5 as having EmbeddedTINT=True.

I presume this is an indication that some kind of wifi-calling was on it's way, without needing to use the InTouch app itself and I'm interested if anyone with a G5 is seeing this yet?

Three state the minimum software version required is v10h-234-20.

Do you have the whole list? I'd like to see if the Huawei P9 is now showing as supported. An update for Three users apparently started going out a week or two ago, but it isn't showing as supported on the coverage checker.

I have a P9 but with generic firmware and my update didn't add it yet. Nor for EE.

Three's list certainly wasn't showing the EmbeddedTint until the last couple of days, so a couple of weeks delay there.

I'm not sure - I would presume disable any network signals other than wi-fi (e.g. turn aeroplane mode on, then toggle wifi back on) and try making a call?

Seeing 4G more frequently with my 7 Plus now. Getting it reliably at home now but in Liverpool it's still mostly 3G, perhaps they are having to fix it mast by mast?

Short answer: I think you'd need VoLTE on a non-Three device to be able to use 800mhz, not necessarily TinT.

Longer answer/my thoughts:
From what I understand TinT was originally a way of using Wifi to make calls, it was then later modified to allow access to the 800Mhz band for those supported handsets (no Three firmware required) to allow calls over 4G 800.
I think the G5 already has (native) VoLTE, on the 800mhz band. I assume this is, again, for Three firmware'd devices only.
The TinT app may currently enable VoWiFi on all G5's however I guess that the Three firmware mentioned above removes the requirement for having the app installed (not sure how it gets 'embedded') and so both native VoLTE and native(?) VoWifi would be enabled, again for those with Three firmware installed.

Wait do Three actually appear on roadworks.org? Never seen them on there before, hopefully I do soon as they have permission to increase the height and put new panels on a monopole near me; this should hopefully also improve coverage for EE which is very poor in the area (the monopole currently has EE 2G/3G/4G and Three 3G and is very short).

Sorry, no, the roadworks were showing up as T-Mobile (I think). They needed to block a lane of traffic for the pole swap, so they were classed as roadworks. It was the associated planning applications were submitted by Daly for EE/Three.
"My" mast had no plans or roadworks as it's in its own compound and no additional cabinets etc were required to be installed.

Anyone have a G5 with wifi calling who can either dump the stock rom or download me the KDZ?
