My area is now showing "From 02/09/2015 to 03/09/2015" whereas this morning it wasn't...

Checked my work postcode which is in the city centre, and there's a tonne of work going on...

"Work is planned in this area on the dates shown below. This may affect your normal network service, but should only last for about 6-8 hours. From 05/09/2015 to 05/09/2015, from 02/09/2015 to 03/09/2015, from 17/09/2015 to 17/09/2015, from 12/09/2015 to 12/09/2015, from 06/09/2015 to 06/09/2015, from 07/09/2015 to 07/09/2015"

You might have been done already or not or maybe or......

As there are no other details than "Improvements" (None that have yet seen a blind bit of difference to my service), we don't know if it's a good thing or a big fat waste of time.

Just checked my home (Harlow, Essex) and I've got the following:

"We're planning some network improvements in your area on 07 September 2015 to 07 September 2015. We're really sorry if this affects your services. It's crucial work that will improve your network experience."

What is the link for checking planned works?

All the postcodes around my area I've checked say we are aware of network problems you've been having from 15th March to 4th September we are doing everything we can to fix the problem updates every 30 minutes.

What does this mean and what's going on? No 4G from a mast near me for about 3 months now whereas it worked perfectly before. And in the next town from me no signal at all on 3g or 4g checked the postcode there and same message, although in that area there was never 4g but full 3g.

Are they gearing up for the 800Mhz switch on or what.

Seems a bit ridiculous.

It has been confirmed that on the 10th Sept 2015 they are switching on something or not or maybe, depending on where you are or not depending on where you are.

So lots may or may not be happening on the 10th or a later date.

Work is planned in this area on the dates shown below. This may affect your normal network service, but should only last for about 6-8 hours. From 02/09/2015 to 03/09/2015, from 08/09/2015 to 08/09/2015. While this takes place you can still use Three inTouch to make calls and text over your WiFi connection.

Shalford's mast is definitiely 1800 only as it's using the kathrein 1800-2100 small panels

For my home postcode, it said work is planned today, on the 8th, and on the 15th. For my work postcode, work is planned for the 24th.

Got work in Bolton on 8th September. Says Network Improvement or something like that.

Work is planned in my area on the 8th September- interesting given that I live in a rural area.

This is for my area. Looks like since a large majority of people are getting these planned updates in one go, it looks like it will go ahead. This definitely looks like either preparation for 800MHz and/or the extra 5MHz slice of 1800MHz.

Work is planned in this area on the dates shown below. This may affect your normal network service, but should only last for about 6-8 hours. From 11/09/2015 to 11/09/2015, from 11/09/2015 to 11/09/2015, from 03/09/2015 to 03/09/2015. While this takes place you can still use Three inTouch to make calls and text over your WiFi connection.

Sticking 4G on 1800 would be what I call an improvement.”

I thought parts of Folkestone had 4G? I was surprised to find a part of Canterbury with 4G... Not the city centre though which I found strange! I just want a decent signal in my house, is it too much to ask!!!😀

I'm also in a rural location and have "crucial work planned".. I'd settle for a good 3G signal indoors, 4G would just be a bonus! 😀

They seem to be doing a lot of work in my area as well (which already has 4G).

Would you mind if I ask you which part? I've only ever got it on Broadoak Rd and parts of Sturry Rd... The city centre would be great..
