It was 23:58 when you posted , and are you so literal you expected someone was going to flick a switch at 00:00 and the whole network was going to switch on? lol.

You must have missed this post a few hours ago:

Did Three say they would start texting compatible customers once the announcement was made?

On my drive in to work I picked up 4 distinct Node's with 800 CellIDs when forced to LTE only.

Thanks for the screenshot
I'm still puzzled as to why you are able to access 800MHz now, if it's temporary or permanent.

Also seems they have used a different LAC and PCI for 800MHz.

Are we expecting a press release at some point today explaining how it's all going to work in practice?

Well the coverage checker hasn't been updated to show the 800 coverage we saw with lightspeed's little method, I'd have thought they'd want to advertise such a boost in coverage as soon as it was all enabled

I asked the PR this morning and was told no press release today about anything but the new iPhone.

The email;

Great to hear from you!

All we know at this stage is that Three UK is pleased to announce it will range the new iPhone 6s and 6s Plus.

If you choose to buy the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus on Three, you will benefit from:
UK’s most reliable network as voted by YouGov for the fourth quarter in a row
UK’s best network for iPhone as voted by YouGov in June 2015
4G at no extra cost
Feel at Home - Call, text and use data in 18 countries abroad (including the USA, France, Italy, Spain and Australia) as if you were at home in the UK, at no extra cost

As soon as we have pricing details, we will make sure we share them with you! I will be sure to keep you in the loop.

Thanks jonmorris.
Well that doesn't exactly sound promising, obviously the day isn't over yet but you might expect PR to know more if it was today

I can't remember but I think the internal documents showed Sept 10th launch, so maybe it has slipped?

Come on its three were talking about here.. Did we all really expect something to happen today? To wake up today and find 800mhz 4g beaming across the country and three website to be exploding with new super voice promos, links to the 800mhz coverage map boasting to all, 'check out our coverage in your area'
No, nothing, just a vague list of handsets which might be enabled..
It's all very three, it may launch today, tomorrow, next week, next month or even next year, the thing with three is you never really know. I guess it's what we like to hate about them and keeps this thread going.
