Yes, this is the best website I've found for G4 KDZs. The link for the latest KDZ is formatted incorrectly on the website but I've corrected it in the link I posted before.

It had about 4/5 OTA updates before you can actually make VoLTE calls. The only thing I forgot was to factory reset before flashing when I did it the first time.

Hope this helps.”

Thanks for that.

So you flashed on ODIN using AP/PDA file I'm assuming? And it was successful on the first instance? Because all other updates end up failing on the hidden.img part of the flash which basically is right at the end of the flashing process. Really annoying.

EDIT - Realised this is Kitkat 4.4.2. I'm currently on lollipop. Is it possible to flash a downgrade just like that on ODIN?

I will give this a go and update you on the results.

Thanks again.

Yes I flashed it in Odin 3.09. Unfortunately only the KitKat one would work, but after you've successfully flashed and set it up just go to OTA updates setting and you'll soon be back up to Lollipop. I also had lollipop before I flashed it.

All you need to remember is to restore to factory setting before or after flashing.

That's today's not at work time waster mission sorted, trying to replicate it..

0,1,2 = 1800 4G
7,8,9 = 800 4G

cheers mupet, den

Looking on the samsing website http://www.samsung.com/uk/consumer/m...SM-G360FHAABTU can see

4G FDD LTE

B1 2100 mhz
B3 1800 mhz
B7 2600 mhz
B8 900 mhz
B20 800 mhz

so another way of looking is *#0011# on the dialer at the top BAND 3, 10MHz = 1800MHz

Cheers, I've factory reset and now currently flashing age old 4.4.2. Lets hope this is successful then I don't mind going through several OTA updates after that.

UPDATE - keeps on failing for me. You must've got lucky somewhere.

Changing topic for a second; just seen on Three's Irish site that you can get 60GB for just under £30 a month.

http://www.three.ie/eshop/broadband-...pay-broadband/

If only we could have rates like that here. Three Sweden is much the same. In fact, without checking, I wonder if all Three networks abroad have better mobile broadband rates than we do?

There's a five euro surcharge for 4G access from next year though it seems, but even then it's still cheaper than anything we have.

Three Sweden is a lot more expensive. First we don't have feel at home for Three users in Sweden.
Three Sweden offers 50GB for roughly 64 pounds a month.

You might be better off doing an "emergency firmware initialization" (or something along those lines) In Kies, from memory I think you just need to put your serial in and it'll download and install the correct ROM. It will wipe all your data though so make a backup.

So anyone with an LGG4 who lives in an 800 area? Have you had an update and can you help answer any of the outstanding queries RE where the handset originated from, signal priority etc?

I've got an LG G4, last updated 14/9 with Sept 7 kernel, IMEI SV 04, dirty flashed HUK firmware over unbranded.

No VoLTE or 800MHz access. I'll try to ring Three when I have time and also clean flash the HUK firmware.

So for now the best device for the new network is still the Galaxy S5?

When I said about not being able to access the maintenence checker, is that you can no longer view future maintenance, I'm a aware you can still see current maintenance on the coverage checker.

Anyone know how we can see future maintenance again?

Excellent work.

So very few people will benefit from 4G 800MHz with network priority set to Zero, let alone the debarcle of network branded firmware updates being required for Android.

Nice one Three

Geographically not a huge increase, current coverage in-fill and indoor coverage wise I'd hope for improvements. But yes, network firmware updates are a pain though kind of an inevitability with Android.
