I do have a VoLTE setting. It's just not meant for Three and is greyed out. I have the V10e firmware as well. http://imgur.com/92WZsvG

Uh. Not sure what this means. Area that has no 3 1800 coverage on the map. Had a look at GNet tracker app and picked up loads of 800 (7,8) signals. No 1800 which is to be expected. Then 2 bars of 4G came up on the phone. Still no 1800 on the tracker app. So my crappy ZTE phone had registered on the 800? Or does this mean something else? Something spooky and evil?

I'm not overly familiar with Reading but most of the sites are (perhaps unsurprisingly) not far from Three's offices there. I posted a screenshot from one a few weeks ago when I was there.

No worries, I presumed it'd be most of the centre. I saw the screenshot, you didn't say where in the country it was though!

If you were getting about 6Mb it probably means you were connecting to the Llandinam Transmitter. Gives a very weak signal for Newtown but can give very good speeds. Do you recall what Cell ID you were on?

I've figured out that Three masts cover Newtown area (Pardon the Pun lol) and I've worked out each one gives the following Cell ID's. (Yeah I've got way to much time on my hands lol )

Main Mast (Bryn Lane) - 4091, 4092, 58782, 58783 - Good Signal, Crap Throughput.
Monopole Mast (Upper Dolfor Verge) - 6765, 6766, 11696, 11673 - Good Signal, Just as Crap, Heck, it still says Mercury Communications Ltd on it.
Llandinam Transmitter - 50915, 22471, 21305, 50928

Llandinam Mast mostly covers, Llanidloes and Caersws areas. But enough signal can reach Newtown. Just can't connect to it when Newtown's masts are up and running.

Actually as of writing this, the Bryn Lane mast is still down. Does anyone know if they do work during the night?

I've got an strange problem.
I recently factory reset my Xperia Z2 (D6503), but I now can't connect to any 4G, even in areas where I know it works.
Do I just need to wait for a carrier update or do I need to do something?

Does anyone know if three still have a maintenance page like the old coverage map which listed the dates of work on an overlap on the map?

Stone, Staffordshire was reporting a pile of dates this month for work. I don't know what the work is but the signal is random and wonder if the dates are still listed somewhere.

Ahh interesting.. the cell ID I have at the moment on an iphone is 7522032. You seen that one before? Signal seems a little stronger today though I think Bryn Lane is still down.

Oh I am not sure. My Galaxy S5s Service Menu shows it in that format. But I've been using Netmonitor for Android And it shows it in the format I posted. If I see that number show up on my S5 ill see what CID comes up in Nermonitor and let you know.

7522032 will be the same as 50928.

How does that work? Not doubting what you say, just interested.

No problem.

7522032 is the longer id which is actually a concatenation of two ids - the radio network controller (which will be shared by a number of cells in the same area) and the cell id. Some apps show the long number, others, the short one.

The controller can be up to 12 bits and the cell id is a 16 bit number. It's easier if you convert it to binary with an online decimal to binary converter.

So 7522032 in binary is 11100101100011011110000

The final 16 bits (in bold) is the cell id which fed back in to a binary to decimal converter gives 50928

The controller part (1110010) in decimal is 114 which you'll find shared by a number of sites in the same area.

I've just seen this new page in regards to VoLTE on Three's website: http://www.three.co.uk/Discover/Network/4g-supervoice

Do you have this as a text document so you can just copy and paste it in...??

Very interesting, looks like a G4 will be my next purchase then

I asked Three Support today about VoLTE for the Honor 7 and once again they said no.

Interesting. Well daveyfs, looks like you have your answer.

Bryn Lane mast is still down. Even walked to it today, nothing coming from it and no sign of anyone there. Picked up stray signals for Kerry and Llandinam mast though at the masts position (So maybe the mast was a microwaved one?)

Facebook is going nuts over it on the EE and Three UK pages. Very angry people threatening to go to another provider. EE says there isn't a fault, while Three actually claim there is a problem in the area there trying to resolve with no time frame in mind.
Loads of different theories being spun around town too lol. Some say It's being 4G'd finally and the best one which i find really funny is that "its been shut off to be removed" . Considering that all the masts that aren't being used have already been shut off during the merger of Orange and T-Mobile I highly doubt its being removed now, especially when its the main source of mobile signal for the town.

Lots of fun at the moment, barrel of laughs

Well I PM'd the XDA forumer but no response as of yet. I changed my buildprop from global to H3G but VoLTE still doesn't work, but I didn't expect it to be that simple.

Looks like Three have changed the wording on unsupported devices on the coverage checker...

https://gyazo.com/19c728b0c9dfb82ba6adc442f017aabd

"Apple iPhone 6
is compatible with our 4G network, but not with our 4G Super-Voice network, which is available in this area."

And for supported devices:

"LG G4
is compatible with our 4G Super-Voice network. Please ensure you've downloaded the latest software update."

Also noticed that Three have 800Mhz'd the western mast in Shrewsbury, South/West side is blanket now!

Anyone familiar with the VoLTE rollout in Germany? They also started with the Samsung Galaxy S5 but have run into problems according to a Google translated webpage.

---

Three's coverage checker gets more bizarre all the time;
"We've super-pumped our network signal in this area. To see how your coverage might change, enter a device below" My area not on the list of places getting Super Voice at this time.

&

When you click the 'View 4G Super-Voice devices' it goes to a page of 58 phones (devices) only some have VoLTE capability. Moto G 3rd Gen on the list but sadly not VoLTE capable. (Unless someone knows different).

My village is obviously not on 3's list of cities, nor is it near one of them, but the map claims there is 800 coverage too (and before the "launch" I spotted transmissions in 3's 800MHz allocation).

I don't have an S5 so I can't try it for real, all I have is an 800Mhz non-VoLTE phone and a mifi type device (supports 800 but which can't get on 800 even with a mobile broadband SIM)

Is it Android? If so try the Gnet tracker app, turn off 3G and see if any you get 7,8 or 9 in the CI column.

Coverage site is a bit broken again but when I can read the text I am told that my area has been "super pumped" and when I hit that link it takes me to a page telling me all about 4G Super Voice...

Looks like Three have turned on 4G in some areas of the South Wales valleys on 1800Mhz. Shall have to have a try when I am at my parents next.
