My visual voicemail was active when I got my new 6 Plus on EE, however if it wasn't already on there I probably wouldn't have bothered activating it.

Does it really matter if you have to call voicemail? Mind you, I probably get. 3 voicemails a year!

I'm still having iPad issues!

I have an iPhone 5 & iPad 4.

Why is it that I find the iPhone will connect to 3G/4G but the iPad will sit there saying no signal?

Now 15MHz has been enabled.

I had 60meg in the middle of Westminster on Wednesday, that's the best score for me on Three so far and in the centre of London! Three will struggle be able to get to the speeds some are posting on other threads (200+ on Vodafone) but who needs those kinds of speeds?

Mobile broadband users? I wouldn't have any problem with networks speed capping 'regular' tariffs in the future and leaving MBB unrestricted.

A manager from technical support called me to ask if my previous queries had been dealt with and I said no. He went on to answer them:

On prioritisation of Super Voice 4G he said that 4G will always be the priority and if anyone is seeing anything different then that will be ironed out during this month (he kept on saying that this month is a test for them ahead of iPhone switch on).

On iPhone switch on they have moved from the end of the year to end of October or first week in November.

I get so much more information from this blog than I do from Three.. Great info, many thanks

Three will be at the mercy of Apple for getting the necessary update rolled out, so as said before, Three will play safe and gladly announce sooner.

One thing Apple doesn't like is for a carrier to pre-announce a feature before it's available, or to ever suggest a delay is down to Apple.

I've just sent them an e-mail asking about Super Voice (VoLTE), native WiFi calling (not the InTouch App) and LTE Advanced in iPhone 6S Plus. (I am getting one by the end of the month)

I doubt they will come back with something better than a generic "We are constantly looking into ways to upgrade our network". At least, I am making it clear that I will not stay waiting forever for such services. Native WiFi Calling for instance is very important to me, as I live in a basement flat.

I wonder if 3 will give wifi calling to PAYG peasants like me? Personally I like to buy my phones and as I'm not a heavy user, I can swap and change phones and networks as I see fit. But it seems that VOD and EE only want contract folk on wifi calling while O2 only offer their app to contract customers. 3 is the only one who let's the common filth use it as well.

S6 Edge is now supporting Super-Voice.

There's always the slight compromise of SIM only contract.

You'll find that the only people who know will be the people in engineering teams (who probably don't even work for 3 as IIRC it's all outsourced to Ericsson). Everyone else only gets told when it's close to release

As for your coverage issue, you could ask for a home signal box

Yes, has been for a while now, not that I see it often where I live, even though according to 3, I am in a very strong signal area.

Yeah but I make about 2 calls a week but I do need the phone to ring if it's school or something. I also want decent data when I need it which is not that often either. If EE would fire up 800 that's a slam dunk for me. But nobody gives me what I want so I need VOD for calls and at the mo 321 is cheap for data if not as good coverage as EE, but good enough. At the moment I feel like this:

I was just reading elsewhere that wifi calling has been enabled on the AT&T network in the states, on the iPhone 6 and 6s presumably via a carrier update, literally only a couple of days after getting FCC approval. Funny how AT&T can get Apple to do a carrier update but Three can't ...

I can't help but think Three aren't planning the tech side of things, they've clearly spent loads on the current advertising campaign and presumable loads on upgrading the network to 800Mhz and VoLTE. Then a month in it only works with four handsets, no doubt which represent a small fraction of their customer base. It makes no sense..

That makes a lot of sense. Three don't want to have any big issues with Super-Voice, rolling it out to iPhone, it needs to work seamlessly, it's probably the largest single device user base on the network.

Right. So I have a sim free unlocked galaxy s6 bought from Argos.

If I can use this 800mhz wonderful "super" lte for data and calls, what do I need to do to use it?

I didn't see anything about Super Voice (which sounds so lame anyway) in the Three store I visited last week. So far it certainly seems almost like a trial, albeit a little more public (but not much).

I guess the advertising kicks off when the iPhone is done, and perhaps all the other key flagships (like the Z5). Now in the run up to Christmas you have a reason to get a new phone.

Although I still think most people won't have a clue what Super Voice means and why they need it.

you need to flash Three firmware onto the phone and then check for any updates if there may be some.

I was wondering if anybody had their Galaxy S5 locking up since the Three 4G firmware update?

I've never had it lock up before, but I've had it 3 times now since the update (always when I charge it at night I wake up in the morning and it's fully charged, but won't turn on and have to pull the battery).

I might try and uninstall my do not disturb app (Silence Premium) to see if it's crashing.

Cheers Mark.

Handy test number on Three, used it when testing how good WiFi calling is in the house without having to ring someone multiple times!

Just ring 699

Just plays 'Stereophonics - Have a nice day' on repeat, but it's handy to see how far the call can go on WiFi till it drops off.

Nice one!

I assume you mean Three's InTouch App?
