Might just be swapping out the power supply, that's what they did on my local mast..

I had maintenance on 10/10 and the signal has been awful since, keeps dropping out going to no network and then going back to full signal, I'm looking at the mast as this happens mind. Got more planned on 15/10 so hopefully should be normal then. Hopefully 1800 but I remain skeptical that it's anything more than an exercise in annoying me haha.

Nothing ever happens when Three "maintenance" occurs...

I also did Harlow to Norwich around a month ago and yet again it only cut out once around Thetford for around 2 mins.

I did have more drop outs in the middle of nowhere a few miles SW of Nottingham a couple of months back I must admit.

From the places I go I'm more than happy with Three (they might not have the fastest speeds, but for me and the places I go they seem to have a constant minimum speed enough to at least stream high quality Internet Radio).”

Exactly my findings as well.. For the most part I can stream audio in the car with no problems, unless I go through the peaks or too far into the countryside and lose coverage for more than 30 seconds.

It's a shame that the Rootmetrics app doesn't seem to find GPS any more so that I could report these areas. It's not the phone: using Waze it finds my location no bother.

I've noticed far better speeds and general performance on 1800Mhz since the extra 5 went live.

I also drove from Shrewsbury to Birmingham, watching the F1 all the way on Sky Go, dropped out once for 30 seconds! Odd thing was the phone clung to 3G all the way even though I know there's 4G in the location!

Are you allowed to drive and watch TV??
An active data connection will handover from 4G to 3G but it will then stay on 3G until the connection goes idle regardless of whether there is 4G there. Does the same on EE.

I'm not even drunk tonight.
Ah I see, I changed "there" to "available".
My browser locked up so I cut and pasted it...
Into completely the wrong post!

I've seen this happen on 3G almost every time H3G upgrades a mast to 4G. It normally stabilises after a few weeks.

Slightly off topic chaps, but can anyone confirm. iPhones are still unlocked on 3, reason I ask is no indoor coverage yet. 3 in touch doesn't work on the 6s plus, or have I been ill informed? And super voice won't be ready until the year ending!

If 3 in touch isn't work properly yet or not at all yet, I would have to use my current sim on Voda until things are sorted.

Thanks, itching to run up to the 3 shop so hurry up ha ha

3 web site isn't playing ball at the minute.

I was particularly thinking of the lack of coverage round Thetford. I had been hoping that when the highway improvement was opened that took a new route & made it all dual carriageway that they would put in a new mast but coverage in this area is just a awful as it has been for years. It's awful on Vodafone too.

Three's new Android beta app: http://youtu.be/LqikRSTj2W8
I think it looks pretty good.

I can't access three.co.uk at the moment on my wifi or 4G so their site must be down.

I think my area is now on 15mhz 1800, I saw upload bandwidth at 15mhz on field test mode. For some reason, most of the time when I open field test mode on my iPhone 6S+ it just has blank information for a lot of things. Any idea how to fix that?

Sure you are Three, sure you are.

I finally bought an adapter cable to plug an external antenna into this Netgear mifi device I have.

The network search reports O2/Vodafone/3 are on 800MHz but in all cases I cannot connect with the relevant SIM (and a mobile broadband SIM in 3's case). That's despite 3's coverage map changing to 800 coverage when I select the mifi I have
