Not sure about HTC, as I haven't personally used them since their Windows Mobiles era.

Over the years I have used all the other manufacturers. I can confirm that Apple has done a great job with iPhone 6S, which I currently own.

You have forgotten Microsoft Mobile (formerly Nokia devices). They do a great job in terms of reception and network compatibility.
Yes I have, how could I forget Nokia/Microsoft handsets. HTC I've heard are good but again I can't compare.

My local BT exchange has recently been upgraded to both Voda O2 2/3/4G, I've come out the house today and engineers are adding new panels on new stands close to the upgraded ones. These new panels are are about the same size as new cornerstone panels but they are about double the width. Could these be 3/EE as they look like them. Oddly though there is an ex Orange site across the road on a tower block. Could they be moving to a new location for cheaper rent? My post code is wf1 1de and the BT exchange is on Market Street just behind. Sorry don't have any photos

I've only used it on the mast that I'm connected to now.

Driving around, the signal disappears but I don't actually know which mast it is coming from...

I'm looking forward to using it, I just hope they've upgraded enough masts that it will be usable. Honestly I'll be glad if they rollout it out round here because my local mast already gets 29Mbps on 3g so I want to see if I can break 30 and everyone else on 800 will help haha.

Well there seems to only be one live around here in a 15 mile radius or so, despite what the Three coverage map says.

G4 is recommended as you can force 800MHz and disable 3G entirely.

Please can you tell me your software version of your G4. I've flashed V10e-OPT2-SI and it refuses to connect to 800MHz. There is no indication in software that it is Three firmware. Unlike my S5, it doesn't have a Three boot up splash screen and no VoLTE option.

The G4 really is the most flexible phone I've had in recent times.
The only failing it has is I can't find a way to get it to display what frequency or band I'm currently on, like Samsung's and IPhones do.
I'm looking to lock it on band 7 next time I'm in Manchester or London to see if I can find any Vodafone 2600mhz.

If you go into the dialer and type in 277634#*#, then Modem Settings, then Engineering Mode.

Click Next until "ITEM_LTE" is displayed and the Band will be shown.

I had 2600 on Vodafone at Kings Cross last week.

You cannot flash the Three firmware on a non-Three LG G4. It flashes but the firmware doesn't update to reflect the Three firmware version.

Many others have experienced the same thing and there is no way to resolve it. Somebody on XDA supposedly found a solution but I suspect they may have been trolling.

I didn't realise you could check the bandwidth on android phones. Thanks.
Also, what Software Version are you running to get VoLTE working?

Like I say, you cannot get it to work on a non-Three LG G4. I have a Three LG G4.

I've noticed on my S6 that when the signal gets low enough, the bars or lack of will stay but the 4G icon will disappear, I wonder if it's after a set threshold?

You can pick band 7 up on Vodafone where the EastZEast restaurant in riverside where the river and bridges are however speeds are complete disappointment. I cannot comprehend how bad they are. Better to test out in London I reckon as there is 2600MHz in plenty of places.

Three map has been updated and finally 4G is showing in Northern Ireland for the first time! What a long time that's been.

Only other mast I know has 4G in NI is the huge one between Portrush and Portstewart, but it's not showing on the map as it's still in testing.

Hi

Its not very accurate, for my post code BT41 1HL it says I have 4G. I don't have a sniff of it on my iPhone 6S

Brilliant Gavin that really shows the increase in coverage, 3 really seem to be gathering pace now. I wonder why they seem to be going much quicker!! Rolling out 800/1800 together time and cost saving perhaps? 4G800 really looks impressive!!

Yeah, I agree 800 does look good, just a shame its thin but I guess limiting that to certain devices with certain firmware ensures its not going to be congested anytime soon.

Well today has been a good day in Telford 4G land... Over 80mb... Impressive!

http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/i/1415423875

Today has been a bad day in Telford 3G land... Namely the Ketley/Reynolds house site, I complained about this site over 3 years ago and have continued to do so, three's only offer is to kill my contract rather than fix the issue... Not even an explaination as to why there are problem at that site for so long! ... Just disappointing.

they tend to show very little interest in fixing their problems.
Stansted airport has had signal issues for years and years and still they can't be bothered to fix it.

I had a moderately humerous call across 3's various departments. 1st line said there was mast maintenance going on that day, 2nd line said there was no maintenance going on that day, but some at the end of the month, then UK network complaints said there was some work going on that day but it would not affect me and the next work was end of the year...
