I'm getting so much use out the reminders. Especially great if you have location services enabled.

Ie. Whenever I'm next at xyz remind me to do such n such.

I think they don't want to lose tradional Gmail users, so having a split and keeping both

I have an irrational fear I'm deleting (archiving) things I want to keep hold of with Inbox, and I've only just got used to the gmail tabs. Can't decide, using both :/

I used Inbox since the Beta trials and was really impressed, but have now gone back to Gmail as a force of habit. I've heard Inbox has had some features added, so may just go back to it.

Why does it want me to remove emails from my inbox. Surely the point of inbox should be to keep them in your inbox where they should be.

I'm the same, it was nice but old habits die hard.

I think the point is that Inbox encourages you to "Mark as Done" when you have read emails, which moves them from your gmail inbox to archive. I'm certainly one who likes to just leave all my read emails in the inbox so I can easily scroll back to find emails. Searching is all well and good as long as you know what it is you are looking for. Sometimes I am trying to find an email I remember reading but can't quite remember what search term might find it. Yes you can switch the view to see all "Done" emails, but that's an extra bit of faff which I'm not sure I would want.

There are a lot of good ideas in Inbox but it's possibly a little too different for many people who have got used to the way that email works over the years.

I prefer Inbox on my phone (now I've archived pretty much everything and unsubscribed from all unimportant emails, so only new emails arrive in the actual inbox) - but on desktop I prefer Gmail, it's just more usable.

Inbox on PC feels too much like form over function - not to mention there are bugs. I don't know if it's an extension I have in Chrome conflicting with it, but right clicking any part of an email in Inbox (e.g. a link to try and choose Open in new tab) will immediately jump back to the top of the email. Very strange.
