Anyone else think it's mostly the wrong acts are in the final?
Jane_Lee3

Because I do.

At least 5 or 6 acts are in final that I don't think deserve to be there, yet at least 5 or 6 acts I loved and I think deserve to be there are not.

Definitely the wrong line up IMO.

Does anyone else think the same?

Yes I agree. Out of the ones there, I'd like UDI to win, but don't think they will if they didn't even win their semi. Don't feel really strongly about any of them though.

Diversity never won their semi!

Well these were my top two acts from each Semi-Final. Certainly a lot different to the line-up we have now.

SF1: Cally the Wonder dog & Cor Glanaethwy
SF2: Jules and Matisse & Old Men Grooving (Very weak line-up)
SF3: UDI & Narinder (Even worse line-up hence Narinder)
SF4: The Kanneh Masons & Lisa Sampson
SF5: Beat Brothers & Jesse-Jane McParland
My Wildcard would be: Lorraine Bowen

So my final would look like this:

Lorraine Bowen - Comedy singer
Jesse-Jane McPardland - Martial artist
The Kanneh-Masons - Classical Musicians
Beat Brothers - Tap dancers
Lisa Sampon - Hula Hoopa
UDI - Electric dance troupe
Narinder - Musician
Jules &Matisse - Dancing dog act
Old Men Grooving - Dance troupe
Cally the Wonder Dog - Dog act
Cor Glanaethwy - Choir

Total: 2 Singers, 3 Dance acts, 6 Variety

I like your final better.

We are actually doing quite well this year and the final is looking solid in tersm of variety so far...a choir, a magician, a dog act, glow in the dark acrobatics, an impressionist etc. How good each of these are is up for each individual to decide, but compared to the onslaught of singers last year, this is a blessing.

The only result I was really disappointed with was for semi 4, a lot better and more talented acts got left out while a completely sappy cheesefest like the Neales got in. Everything else has actually gone quite well so far I think.

I agree with many of that final.

But I loved the gospel choir and also the 11 y/o. girl from the other night (Ella?)

And also I loved Emma who sang Pie Jesu... I also loved the six lasses (called honeybuns I think...) You may not agree. None of them got through.

The final could have done with a little more variety with acts like the classical musicians and the martial arts act both being very good.

To be fair there were a fair few good acts that didn't make it to the final unfortunately, and better singing and magic acts as well.

I really don't get why people keep going on about The Kanneh Masons. I thought they were dull and unremarkable and didn't deserve to make the final.

I've agreed with most of the results. The Welsh choir wasn't my thing but they are hugely talented and Issac Waddington is a good singer so can't really argue with that even if I didn't vote for him. But I do think UDI should have won their semi final instead of coming second and Jamie Raven shouldn't have got through. IMD Legion should have got through instead.

Also would have liked to have seen Billy & Emily England, The Kanneh Masons, Marc & Wendy, Chloe Crawford, the Beat Brothers and Boyband get through.

For me it should be:

SF1: Cor Glanaethwy & Lorraine Bowen
SF2: Revelation Avenue & Old Men Grooving
SF3: The Kingdom Tenors & Jamie Raven
SF4: The Neales & Isaac Waddington
SF5: Beat Brothers & Jonathan Lutwyche

I actually quite like the final line up- not all of my favourites got through but a fair few did and there is plenty of variety at least!

Despite me not agreeing with most of the choices I did like the fact there was a mixture of acts going in and then the last two Semi-finals with plenty of great acts to choose from came about and we got stuck with singers again.

My chosen final would have been:
Semi Final One: Billy & Emily England and Mitch & Cally the Wonderdog
Semi Final Two: Jules O'Dwyer & Matisse and Bonetics
Semi Final Three: UDI and Jamie Raven
Semi Final Four: Lisa Sampson and The Kanneh-Masons
Semi Final Five: Beat Brothers and Danny Posthill
Wildcard One: Revelation Avenue
Wildcard Two: Ok Worldwide

So the line up would be:

Billy & Emily England (Extreme Roller Skating Duo)
Mitch & Cally the Wonderdog (Balloon-popping dog act)
Jules O'Dwyer and Matisse (Dancing dog act)
Bonetics (Contortionist dancer)
UDI (Electronic light dance troupe)
Jamie Raven (Close up magician)
Lisa Sampson (Hula-hoop artist)
The Kanneh-Masons (Classical Musicians)
Beat Brothers (Tap dance troupe)
Danny Posthill (Stand Up-comedian/Impressionist)
Revelation Avenue (Gospel Choir)
Ok Worldwide (Acrobatic troupe)

I think the final is singer heavy with Callum, Isaac, the Neales, Côr Glanaethwy plus Henry and/or Revelation Avenue could also be through as wildcards.

I can't be bothered to work out which semi final all the acts were on but my dream final would have been:

Jesse Jane
Jules and Matisse
Bonetics
Revelation Avenue
Jonathan Lutwyche
Lisa Sampson
Jamie Raven
Roller skating brother and sister
Danny Posthill
UDI
The Kenneth Masons
IMD Legion or Boyband

Definitely most of my favourite acts didn't get to the final. The only ones I agreed with were the welsh choir because they were the best act out of a terrible bunch on Monday and jules and matisse. The worst for me was Friday because none of the top 3 were even in my personal top 3.
To be honest though it's not really suprising as I am not part of the voting demographic that votes on shows like this.

Isaac is the weakest link of the bunch, he's the only act I'm not looking forward to see at all and he might even win !
