Rock Hyrax, bizarrely it's closest living relative is the elephant! ( I'd post a photo but I'm not very technologically advanced )

That is brilliant.

In Texas a wild water snake is befriended by Mr. Tim Jones and she climbs onto his lap for a fish snack.

It may surprise some of you to learn that Komodo Dragons are highly intelligent animals and can be tamed, trained and also be very affectionate.

I posted a YT clip about RonRon on here a while ago. Sadly I found out yesterday that he passed away last week

Goodbye beautiful RonRon, the updates on your daily life always did put a big smile on my face

It is. But he lived a very happy and very long life (8 years is really exceptional, in the wild their best bet is about two years), it looks like he simply died of old age.

I feel sorry for the guy who looked after RonRon all these years, he clearly loved him to pieces.

What a shame - but he clearly lived a long and happy life for a fox and was truly cherished by his owner.

Not really sure how 'cute' these are but anyway I will stick them in this thread anyway.

Randy male birds who sing with their feathers to attract females - who probably then look indifferent, bored and bugger off!

Heart was in my mouth watching this but thankfully a happy ending, chimp recovering after fall...
escaped chimp rescued from power lines

This just melted my heart, the pics are wonderful http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/video_and_...lines/36048393 - orangutan meets 12 day old off-spring after a caesarean delivery. I have a real soft spot for orangutans so this video has made my day.

Couldn't resist posting this also... dancing gorilla

Lovely start to my day
