Another thing, after Cristian was nominated by Jade, Marc got up to shake Cristian's hand saying "Hard luck, buddy." Danny was disgusted by that and started pointing out how shabbily Marc had treated Cristian all week and now wants to shake his hand. Danny said: "Start licking his arse now." Marc replies: "How am I licking his arse?" Danny: "You slag him off all the time, and now you're like, well played. And now you're like this, Oh yeah well done mate, well done" As the argument rumbles on Brian says to Marc "You're the one who nominated Cristian last week... and you nominated Jade"
Marc claims innocence in both noms, saying: "Are you for fooking for real? JADE IS ME FOOKING FRIEND, you dumbass." Helen backed him up saying "He didn't wanna get involved, he didn't wanna get involved. He didn't wanna get involved Brian, you know he didn't, that's so unfair" Brian: "No, it's not unfair." Marc replies: "How isn't it unfair, she's me friend, what are you talking about?" Brian replies: "If she was your friend, you would have tried to make sure she didn't get nominated.. and now she's gone" Marc replied: "What was I supposed to do? 2 against 1."
Hmm, now here's the reality. When Cristian was nominated in the diary room the day before (last Wed's HLs show), Marc instigated the show of hands and made sure all 4 HMs voted. But with Jade, as he was now in front of the whole group he cowardly took himself out of the voting process. Helen and Nikki began by making clear they would both nominate Jade. In response, both Marc and Brian said "I don't agree" but only Brian followed up those words with any action. After Helen and Nikki voted for Jade, Brian voted for Sam. Marc then declined to use his vote to save "his friend" when the voting was already 2-1 against her, effectively nominating her by not caring enough to make it 2-2. All 4 HMs were eligible to vote and 2 votes out of 4 is not a majority. It was entirely Marc's decision not to use his vote to save "his friend." At no point did BB say he couldn't vote, he chose not to use his vote to save "his friend" and thus failed to back up his words with action. If actions speak louder than words, this was further proof he only claims to be friends with HMs to serve his own agenda.
Rather than deny Brian's other accusation that he nominated Cristian last week, which he KNEW was true, Marc then said to Brian "I SAVED HIM, yes or no? Yes or no? Did I save Cristian
the first time? Tell the truth and don't lie." Brian did not reply and Marc tried to make him look like a liar. However "the first time" was not what Brian was talking about. He said Marc was the one who nominated Cristian
last week, which regardless of whatever happened "the first time" was absolutely correct. If Marc really did consider Cristian as his friend then he would have continued to "save" him. Instead, he nominated him next. The evidence is there on video in last Wednesday's highlights show that Marc nominated Cristian in the diary room. So now we see he is rather dishonest in the way he twists things to try and give the false impression he's a "friend."
Next, he totally misrepresented what Victor said to him to such an extent that he gave Helen the impression that Vic had told him and others that Helen was "saying things, or doing things behind Marc and other HMs backs." This again was further proof that he twists things (as Brian accused him of doing during that argument) or just outright lies. And finally, during that same highlights show three HMs (Brian, Cristian and Chloe) who genuinely do see Danny as a friend or ally in the house, claimed that they saw Marc laugh at Danny when he was in the bedroom crying. All three were adamant they saw Marc laugh at Danny when he was in the bedroom crying. When Brian put that to him, Marc denied going to the bedroom. Cristian pointed at Marc and said "YOU F*CKING DID [go into the bedroom]. YOU LAUGHED. I SAW THAT LAUGH."
Rather than deny Cristian's accusation, before anyone else even said anything Marc's instant (and only) response was to smile momentarily and turn to his co-accuser Brian saying "I'm laughing at YOU mate" without actually laughing at all. Since the alleged incident wasn't shown on highlights, one can read whatever they want into this response, but the complete failure to deny Cristian's accusation and the overall nature of the response looked more to me like a man who had just been RUMBLED and instantly aimed to deflect his source of laughter. With three HMs adamant they saw him laugh at Danny crying, and his track record for dishonestly twisting things to give a false impression of situations (which he already did during this argument, claiming he saved Cristian "the first time" while failing to admit the actual charge that he was the one who nominated him last week), I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if what the others said was true. If so that would be yet more evidence he doesn't really see Danny as as a friend, just a guy he can use to satisfy his own needs while in the house, be it recreational or strategic. This would make perfect sense given that he repeatedly makes it clear he's not there to make friends.
Deciding not to vote to save to your "friend" from being nominated when the vote was already 2-1 against her; insulting, mocking, provoking your "friend" and nominating him from the safety of the diary room, then failing to admit it to his face when accused of it and instead portraying yourself as his friend and saviour;
allegedly laughing at another "friend" when he's crying, then running to the diary room to complain that he's "a massive game player" who is "nominating my friends"; and then shunning that nominated "friend" when she fails to do what you want her to do. None of this sounds like the actions of a true friend to me, but rather someone who uses others and tries to keep them onside for their own purposes. His mantra looks more to me like "keep you friends close, and your enemies closer."
