Even if Alesha wanted to return to SCD I hightly doubt the BBC will let her come back, going on BGT destroyed any chance of that. If any ex contestant deserves to be a judge then it has to be Caroline Flack. I mean scoring 3 perfect 40's in a row is a massive achievement.

I agree. When I saw this thread, I did honestly think does that mean Darcey is quitting the show after three series and that Alesha will resume her place as the only woman on the judging panel.

Anyway, Caroline has unveiled as co-host of The X Factor alongside former finalist and friend, Olly Murs. So I can't imagine that happening.

If you read the article she doesnt mention judging, she says she'd go back for an all stars series if there ever was one

Or if she was invited - which she would not be, whilst she is still signed up with Cowell.

I think the BBC would take her back in an instant because it would be such a coup over Simon Cowell. Plus much as I like Darcey, if it was a choice between them then I'd choose Alesha. Her experience as a judge on BGT would make her a better judge on Strictly than she was the first time. Hope this is one rumour that is true.

I agree about the beeb taking her back as a coup over Simon Cowell, & that her experience on BGT would make her better at judging, but the thing is she still knows practically nothing about ballroom and Latin dance. Not that Darcey knows much either, of course!

There is something else - apparently Craig was the one who helped get Alesha the job as a judge on Strictly in the first place, and yet having got the job she went on to virtually snub Craig altogether and when she left, she did so without so much as a bye-bye and thank you. If Craig still has any say-so about judges, I can't think he would do anything to help get her back!

it was a none story in the Star in the first place, with misleading headline that did not reflect the story, Flackers would be an awful judge imo and really regret she is back on X Factor

The Star having misleading headlines? Who would believe it?

Agree about Flackers, though. She probably understands even less about dancing than Alesha [how on earth she won when she couldn't master any of the ballroom dances is beyond me!]

(How are you Bendy, my friend?)

Hi Kaycee - hope you are well, have not been around so muchh lost my 30 year old nephew suddenly beginning of March and only now getting back to some normality - none of us could face blackpool or congress this year, my nephew was my godson too and sadly lost my only god daughter last year who was only 19 (unknown heart condition) so has been pretty rough couple of years - but we have to get on with it and as I say starting to get to some normality - may have SCD gossip July will pm if it happens

We now know that Alesha is not a good judge. Hiring her once was worth a try. Hiring her twice would be a disaster.

(In other words, celebrity should not triumph over quality)

Darcey is a much better judge than Alesha. She is one of the reasons why the show was so good in 2012/2013.

If there's an all stars series (which I think would be nice at some point maybe in the summer?) then Alesha should be invited back, she was a huge part of Strictly as a judge and brilliant contestant, so as a one off I think she'd be great- Obviously her BGT commitments rule her put of working on the show again in any othe capacity though

I wouldn't choose Alesha over a real ballroom judge like Karen Hardy or Shirley Ballas, but that's not what the 'article' or this thread is about.

As kaycee says, Alesha would be better a 2nd time around because she's now got a lot of experience of being a judge on a reality show. As far as I'm concerned, by the time she left Strictly she was doing well enough, but I'm not ignoring the fact that as a judge she was not liked by everybody on here.

I do like Darcey and she does try to give the celebs good advice, but she does go off the rails a lot with her marks and comments - especially with fit male celebs. I would choose Alesha over Darcey, but that's my personal preference.

It's about time Strictly did another Champion of Champions and wish they'd done one for Series 10 or 11.

***waves to kaycee and bendy - sorry to hear you've been through such a bad time bendy***
