Connie Talbot
Mormon Girl

I would like to know if any of you liked Connie Talbot in the first series of Britains Got Talent. Connie's patents weren't pushy they weren't sure she should do it but she really wanted to go on it so they let her.

Also Connie handled the pressure well and she never came across as a brat all she wanted was to sing in front of Simon Cowell and sing that is all she wanted she said she never thought about winning she just wanted the show to be good for Simon and for Simon to have a good show.

She was a good singer for her age, but I think she's actually a lot better now at 14 than she was at 6. Could still become an adult star in the future, you never know.

People talk about the 'cute factor' and that her age was the only reason she did so well, but I would argue that up against Damon Scott, the Bar Wizards, Bessie Cursons and the Kombat Breakers, none of whom were anything special at all, she still deserved 2nd place behind Paul Potts.

She picked a good year to enter, because 2008 would have been very tough up against Faryl Smith, Andrew Johnson & George Sampson... and also a few other older acts.

I agree. If Paul didn't enter in the first series I think she would have won the first series. I wander who would have won if Paul as in the 3rd series with Diversity and Susan Boyle or the 4th Series with Spellbound. Connie sings more upto date songs now as well and she is alot better now at singing.
