You could make an argument that for whichever semi final runner up gets the public wildcard the judges should then open themselves up to putting through whoever came 4th in that semi final, if that act was better than the 3rd placed acts in all of the other semi finals. That said, it seems from David's comments that it is likely to be a choice between the four acts not saved by the public in the public wild card vote.

That's hardly fair on the audience wildcard. Should pick someone who came lower than 3rd.
