Does anyone find the constant changing of categories annoying?

There seems to be a new one every few days. Also 'my list' has vanished as well. All I get now is the 'because you watched...' recommendations. Very annoying

Yeah. They either vanish or move constantly

I am not a fan of the Netflix layout. I find it really irritating and difficult to find anything l want.

I think the pictures are to big, l would prefer a text only option and make the traditional categories more prominent like horror, sci-fi, documentary, etc.

I don't know if it's the same when you're watching online but on TiVO it's a nightmare. I feel like I'm being dictated what to watch! And I agree red_g00ner the layout is atrocious.

As a long time user of media centres like Plex and XBMC I found the Netflix layout horrendous. It's very counterintuitive and leaves me longing for a simple A-Z directory of content.

That said, it works very well for my kids whose viewing habits are different to mine and who discover new content specifically because of the Netflix layout.

The lists are actually one of my favourite features as they really do help me find new things to watch, which I would have never otherwise considered, and many of which were pretty decent. Likewise the suggestions that come up after a programme for similar shows are also often relevant to me and I will often go on to watch one, time permitting.

I really like the suggestions based system that Netflix uses and the category / mood style lists on the main page. Personally, on services which rely more on the user to search or browse standard genres, I find a lot of the best stuff remains hidden though perhaps better for those who know exactly what they want to watch and are not open to suggestions.

I find the Netflix system works much better for a casual relaxed evenings viewing, where the suggestions and lists ensure there is always something you are at least somewhat interested in right round the corner and you aren't under any pressure to remember programme names like you are on a more search focused system.

Each to their own but personally, I would be really disappointed if the main page changed significantly as it is one of the things I like most about the service.

I too find it works pretty well. I wouldn't have found most of what I watch if Netflix hadn't recommended it to me as I simply wouldn't have known to look for it.

I suppose it depends what kind of mood I'm in. Sometimes I seem really open to everything and suddenly all these decent suggests pop up; but sometimes I'm in that really awkward mood where everything just seems shit.
