Fair play to you on this sir you should be right but the stupidity of the vast majority of voters will prove you wrong . Sadly I must add

I thought the choice of song let them down.....Hallelujah seemed a very bland and safe choice. Are there no traditional Welsh songs they could have sung? An Irish choir in the same position would only ever go with traditional Irish music.

I think certain acts especially any singers get songs pushed onto them by the producers / cowell to be fair especially in finals . Not that I'm a fan of his but I don't get the impression Callum would've picked the Rihanna song given his choice hence the mess up in timing and lines through not knowing and liking the song enough . Both songs being on cowells label by any chance ?

This is right, and is exactly what happened to Revelation Avenue in the semi final. A real shame really.

I think you may be right in fact. Hallelujah keeps popping up on Cowell's shows as does Diamonds. I think it may have cost them votes tonight, it just sounded rather bland and forgettable. If they could have found a Welsh folk song (in Welsh of course), it would have sounded much more genuine and authentic.

I did think that but wasn't sure as I thought just maybe they might pick that Beyoncé song but in hindsight her songs do get pushed a ridiculous amount of times on cowells shows . Just for that reason I detest hearing any of her songs anymore even sung by Beyoncé herself

I'm pretty sure they would've practically had no choice in finding their own song

Yes, acts have to totally compromise when they appear on these shows, even if it means losing their authenticity.

Must say (and I wanted them to win) that tonight's perfomance was my least favourite.
For me, their first performance was far and away their best.

The thing with choirs is it's an easy act, half a dozen of them can mess up every time and no one would notice.. Callum messed up and we all saw it. Also that choir had an advantage. . if each their families and friends voted.. That's 5 thousand votes right there . And then there's the racist welsh thing. I mean no one in England votes for an act just because they're English.. But the welsh however

I thought they sounded fine but definitely didn't want them to win and luckily my prayers were answered. Nothing against them personally but I prefer variety acts not singers or choirs, there are other shows & competitions for them.

I think the choice of song may have contributed to this. Hallelujah is almost like a karaoke standard on these shows now.....it may have made the choir sound bland and forgettable.

However, it is true. A Welsh person could stand on the BGT stage and do absolutely nothing and a lot of Welsh would still vote for them.
The Welsh side of my family do this all the time.
