And I especially loved Tim winning!

Big Brother at it's very best. ”

BBAU 2013 was a very good series, but I couldn't stand Tim, sorry. I can't begin to tell you just how much he wound me up. Hugely narcissistic, hugely irritating and hugely, HUGELY contrived.

I agree with these two people on their opinions of him:

Agree witb previous posters that BBAUS 2013 was the best BB out of AUS, CAN, USA and UK. To me right now the order is

1 BBAUS - nominations are better with points system, house is in a theme park so crowds are happy, cheery and family oriented
2 CBBUK - When pulled off right it works well

3 BBUK - First 7 were great, some good moments in other C4 series but C5 failing at it by making it over contrived

4/5 USA and CAN - CAN late into game starting 3 years ago, ShawMedia uses same casting person (Robyn Kass?) and format as CBS in USA. Stopped watching USA after BB4 because its literally the same show every year. They think (that idiot producer Alison Grodner) because they get same amount of viewers every year its a success, but really its because its one of only shows running in summer (with network sitcoms/Dramas on reruns). CAN is a lame cheaper version that starts every Feb and the house has no outdoors because the weather is too cold!! Managed half a season of 1 and didnt watch 2 or 3. Only memorable moment of CAN was in BB1 - the last 7 evicted make up the jury that votes for winner (not public) and one of them (topaz) accidentally voted for wrong person (put wrong housemate key in voting box)so there was finale drama and changed the results. The contestant who woulda won but didnt because of it (named Gary - and nicknamed Gary Glitter by BBCAN totally unaware of the UK situation with that name) was actually put back into the house after being voted out weeks before (a la Nikki Graeme) into final 4 after a twist.

Since this thread started last week I have watched quite a few episodes of 2012 BBAU, I'm up to George having a SuperPower to remove 1 of the Hm's votes without knowing who voted for who and he is still up

I really like the points system and the house and the upbeat crowd.

Not keen on the presenter, she does a weird cracked smile.

Also Derrick's attitude to the game suggests that he would have been able to adapt to any set of HMs and create a strategy to fit any situation.”

Put him on Survivor and let's see how he sinks or floats then.

The gameplay tends to be really weak on BB, many HMs not even playing a game at all. Roles can be rather scripted, someone put in for showmance, someone put in to be the gobby strategist who is shown all the time in the DR etc etc.

The live stream misses out plenty as well (while charging plenty), like before and after evictions, all the important competitions, twists, announcements aren't shown so they can be manipulated for the HLs. The live stream is actually more important in the public vote version anyway and would likely be more viewable than people just whispering the same things about gameplay time after time.

And on the Australian one, like with the British version the older version of it was better and less manipulated. The 07 and 08 ones were the best. It's unsure if they are even continuing with it now because the audience has declined so much (again, like the British version). At least the HMs tend to be overall more likeable.

She's the worst presenter and makes it sound like she's talking to an audience of infants. Just ahead of the Canadian presenter in the worst stakes.

The main good things about the Australian version are they have never done away with a vote to save element, and the cast is more likeable normally than the cast they put on the CH5 version (though this year started ok, until they got rid of most of them). It's still heavily manipulated though, the new HMs they put in towards the end tend to be very cliched and script driven for instance.

2013 is probably the best produced BB series I've ever watched. The HMs in the final month were nearly all worthy of being the winner, apart from Ed who made it so easy to hate the best looking man ever!”

2013 was an amazing watch. I stupidly deleted the episodes as i watched them and recently had to download them all again so i could re-watch it. So yeah, if anyone is looking for the episodes send me a PM. I also archived BBAU 3, 4 and possibly a few others.

Layla was like a HM from the CH5 version, someone totally empty headed and just put in for showmances.
