Trick well executed although been done many times before... but he seems on edge and makes me feel uncomfortable and nervous watching him.. very wooden.

I felt it was a bit meh. If the magician takes something from you to do the trick you they make it obvious they're up to something.
Would've been more impressive if he didn't touch the box, bag or lemon and had Alesha do it all... but then the trick wouldn't have worked I guess. |

Rubbish.
That lemon seemed to have a rather big hole in it... |

He does seem very edgy I thought he was going to drop that card fan flick, but he is great wouldn't mind him winning at all.

I don't mind so much if Jamie Raven wins. He was better tonight and it would be a big two fingers up at Callum Scott.

There was a link earlier of how the trick is done, basically the a whole is made into the lemon into the centre direct from top of lemon, then the card/piece of paper is pushed down into middle of lemon and then the lemon naturally goes back into shape so you can't see how object was put in, if lemon has a stalk on they would normally cut that off, make whole into lemon place object then glue stalk back on!!

He palmed the note, asked Alisha to open the boxes and then took the bag himself What was the point if the box at all? He put hus hand in the bag, pushed the palmed note in the huge hole in the back if the lemon, took it out of the bag and cut it in half. The cameras caught the huge hole. It was really amateurish stuff. |

I seriously cannot believe some people are having trouble with the lemon trick, it was as obvious as they come, and actually revealed by the poor camera work.
He had the note in his hand, put it in a bag containing a lemon with a huge hole in it and pushed the note inside. Then pulled the lemon out of the bag and cut it in half revealing the note. The camera caught the hole through the lemon. I actually thought that he could gave got the card in the box, but he messed it up and had to take the bag himself from there? |

According to Wiki, it's a very old trick. Quote:
The coin in orange version of the trick dates to at least the mid-1800s, and appears in Modern Magic in 1876. This was a relatively complex version that uses two oranges and considerable stagecraft to complete. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_in_lemon
The bill in lemon version is credited to Emil Jarrow (1875-1959), who made it a feature of his vaudeville act during the first half of the twentieth century. Jarrow would borrow as many as three different bills from members of the audience, causing them to later reappear inside of the lemon. Other famous performers of the effect included T. Nelson Downs, Max Malini, Bob Haskell and Billy McComb among many others. |
