Could see from the over head camera.

I don't think the camera men like him very much

Maybe he had been re enacting American Pie with it earlier (?)

He reached into a bag and pushed a note into a lemon with a gaping hole in the back.

This is after doing the invisible deck trick, available from all good Magic shops for around £5

Utter garbage

For people with less trained eyes he was entertaining *shrug*

I've seen three different posters call his trick crap and give 3 different suggestions for how it was done. Two of them have to be completely wrong then.

You mean it wasn't REAL magic!

I'm quite surprised that he's in the last 3 as he has done nothing that hasn't been done a million times before.

The clue was the huge hole in the kemon, as revealed by the camera angle.

Why did he tell alesha not yo touch the box, and yet the magician took the bag out himself?

If he was good, he could have got it in the lemon without taking the bag himself.

In the end, it was awful

No word on how the note changed in his hands then? Bore off.

People have been doing card tricks for hundreds of years too, cups and balls and sawing in half are hundreds of years old too. Nothing is new.

Err palming 101

He did an off the shelf trick costing 5 pounds that you yourself could learn in a few minutes. It's called invisible deck, Google it.

His second trick ( he only had two) was awful.

A palmed note, and he pushed it into the back of a lemon when it was, wait for it, in a bag!

And that was it.

It was absolutely dire.

So you think that magicians should to the physically impossible?

You do get that they have to do it some way?

I can't believe some of the stuff I read on here.

If it was such a rubbish trick, good magic shops wouldn't be selling it and people wouldn't be buying it.

Oh don't get me wrong, the invisible deck is a great trick.

However, magicians usually put their own take on it instead of just copying the dvd that comes with the gimmick deck.

No talent is needed, just £5

Back to the opticians for you. He changed the BGT note into a piece of paper with "Look in the box" written on it with empty hands.

So based on what you didnt see where did the BGT signed note go to.
Your opinion he was dire but then you werent even watching properly.

No magician wiprth their salt would grab the bag and put their hand in.

It was so bad, I'm sure it was actually a mistake and he had to go to plan b.

If this was his best trick, on the final of the biggest tv talent show, then I'm embarrassed.

That would have been impossible though.
We all know it's a sleight of hand but some of us enjoy it for what it is without trying to analyse it. I think he deserved to come second and I hope he makes a career from appearing on the show.

Perhaps next year you could enter and show us how real magic is done. If a talentless magician can be runner up you would be a shoe in for the title.

It wasn't awful - very enjoyable - the judges were so close - you know more than them. then? Sounds like sour grapes. He wasn't my favourite but he was very good

I am sick of seeing the same old stringing a bunch of words together with some kind of melodic tune

its so old, centuries or further, anyone can do it and it doesn't even cost a penny

Why are people so bitter ?

Oh I watched it so carefully I saw the gaping hole in the back of the lemon.

And he did not have an empty hand, it was palming.

He palmed it well, but I'm pretty sure he messed up getting the note into the lemon.

The gift he gave Alesha was a box. Inside that was another box, and inside that a bag.

I am absolutely certain he did not want to touch that bag.

But he did, took it out and put his hand inside, and after 5 seconds of fumbling, pulled out a lemon.

I'm sure he should have got the note in the bag through the back of those boxes, but he screwed it up big time.

But this is just it, he clearly has support and a lot of people seem genuinely confused as to how it was done.

But you, yes you, could walk into a shop and buy his tricks and perform them within half an hour.

Is that a talent?

We forget in the semi final he dropped his cards, fluffed hus lines and took zero part in the half helicopter reveal

He performed what is known as a bill switch no palming at all.Thats a fact.

Even though you have no idea how its done or could see what was happening ! Riiight.

Your opinion is irrelevant.

Again your opinion based on ...nothing.
