I completely agree that the note switch was neat. The dramatic effect of the boxes is completely negated when HE takes the bag and puts HIS hand in it for THREE seconds. You keep emphasising that three seconds is not a long time (and it isn't) but we're used to seeing accomplished magicians seemingly do impossible things right under our noses in the blink of an eye.
