Matisse is better than Pudsey but Ashley has more personality than Jules.

Yes. Pudsey tends to do the same things over and over whereas Matisse is different. All three acts , dog catcher, toy dog and sausage thief were very different and that is not an easy thing to do, so kudos to Jules for being able to come up with them. It's actully very difficult to mke up a routine, finding the right music is the hardest bit to training the dog. You can't just stick on a cd and move to it, a routine is carefully choreographed to match the style of the act and the dog, not all music suits all dogs. I have seen a lot and I mean a lot of dog dancing, all brilliant, but Matisse is the only one I've seen who actually acts, and for that reason, yes he's better than Pudsey.

Tonight's act was much more versatile and did a lot more with set piece stories.

It wasn't just walking on hind legs and following the trainer around walking between her legs, it was like watching little mini films with the dog doing a wider variety of things.

Which one is better is a matter of opinion. I don't think Matisse is better than Pudsey or Pudsey is better than Matisse. They are two totally different performers - one is a comedy actor, and the other a dancer, nevertheless, both are equally talented and have very good trainers.

Definitely better, only if Jules had auditioned before Ashlleigh, they will say Ashleigh's actor is a tribute act for sure ..

The dogs are physically different so particular moves would be more challenging for one than the other. For instance, Pudsey is the sort of dog who has a shallow chest and hip joints which allow him to fully extend his legs backwards when lying down therefore balancing on his hind legs would be physically easier for him than for Matisse who, as a collie has a deeper chest and hind legs which are usually tucked under the body. Collies on the other hand tend to be bred for intelligence, so it may be easier to train Matisse to recognise a variety of different commands.
The differences in syle are really more down to the routines devised by the trainers, Ashleigh seems to prefer to dance and Jules to act, hence the different types of routines. To the dogs though, both routines are created with a fairly small group of set moves.

All in all, a long winded way of saying both are beautiful dogs who are beautifully trained, preference is probably just a matter of style taste.

Yes, if pushed. But they are such completely different acts, it's like asking if Matisse was better than Stavros Flatley.

The real difference was jules had a couple of extra gimmicks.

A number 2 dog, and a number 3 dog. The final routine with skippy, in particular just lifted the routine out of the ordinary.

However, how much do the judges/cowell script the show. They said they gave the wrong acts to a couple of perfotmers, but if the performers rehearse stuff, then they must of already seen both of the first 2 acts.

I think matisse is better Pudsey has the same moves over & over again just to different music but matisse does a new moves

I found them both very entertaining with each having something different to offer, so I couldn't say which is better, I like both the same.

The only thing they have in common is that they are dogs and have female co stars.

For my personal taste I prefer Matisse because I prefer a story to dancing dogs.

Both Pudsy and Matisse were lovely - and very entertaining to watch - but Matisse was the better act (for me).
I loved the clever story and the whole concept.

Collies are so intelligent - so quick to learn - and such beautiful dogs....but to train a dog to that level takes huge time and patience - well done Jules.

In all of Pudseys appearances, there was a story, , Flintstones, James Bond etc, so I can't see why you should describe him as just a dancing dog

Agree with this. Pudsey was themes rather than stories on the whole.
