Anyone else think that opening the public wildcard vote straight after the last semi final was unfair? I think it's why Jesse Jane won. We'd literally just seen her get sent home (and get upset) and she was fresher in the memory, and then we only had an hour to vote.
I can't really think of a fairer way to do it but I do think it needs addressing for next year.

I think it's more the fact that she cried than that she was fresher in the memory that did it. Perhaps next year they should open it on the day of the final and have the judges choose from 4th-9th place semi finalists?

The public wildcard could perform last.

I think the whole wildcard idea is flawed. The acts have already failed as they don't have the public support or they would have made the final. They have already been beaten by at least one other act (two if they were third in their semi) the best they can hope for is picking up votes from viewers whose favourite acts polled 4th-9th (if those viewers wish to vote again) I really doubt a wildcard act will ever make top 3 let alone win the whole thing.
If there was a way to let the public pick a wildcard from acts that were not predetermined by the judges/producers (call it a public golden buzzer) picking from the acts that make it through the first auditions but not picked in final 40
Not sure how to do this? maybe show their auditions on website or dedicated youtube channel and then maybe with this public golden buzzer wildcard, give them a ticket straight through to final?

Good idea, although it would mean the four acts who don't get the wildcard rehearsing and coming down to the studio for nothing. But then if they really want it I suppose they wouldn't argue.

They could always give the losing wildcards a chance to perform together during the results section of the show. They just wouldn't be competing.

A public golden buzzer would be interesting. They could do it via the app- say, the first act in the auditions to get 20,000 golden buzzers on the app gets it.

But they do sometimes have the public support, in cases where they would have come second but the judges sent them home in their semi final. And sometimes the public think an act is safe so don't vote. I like the wildcard.

In fairness to Jessy, she brought something different than the other wildcards, Henry just sang the same cheesy song twice, and compared to someone like Isaac, who was not much older than him and had a far superior voice, poor Henry would have just looked silly.

Revelation Avenue, despite all they hype, were quite boring in fairness, plus they seemed like bad losers when Old Men Grooving beat them - at least Jessy has her age to excuse her crying - also the Welsh choir were a lot more interesting and we didn't need two choirs.

IMD were just the usual street dance crew that we have seen all the time on BGT, plus with so many members it's hard to form a bond with them as opposed to an individual. Also they were too similar to Entity Allstars.

Boyband were a bit more original for a dance crew and I was happy to see them back, but I still voted for Jessy not because she cried, but because we have never seen anyone like her on BGT.

I think the wildcard is a good idea.
The judges pick of the second act through to the final might not be the second highest vote-getter, so it's good to give the other top three placed act another shot.
Well, with the public vote and the judges pick technically two extra shots.

The fact that they put through the weakest of the wildcard acts in Boyband made it a complete waste of time. It was obvious that they would finish in last position.

Reverlation Avenue were the outstanding act tbh, and has been proved with the amount of views and likes that they have on You tube. Three times as many in fact than the Welsh choir.

Couldn't agree more ...
In my opinion the public vote in the semi-finals should be the end of the matter ...
The top two go through ... end of story ..
All this ridiculous carry on when the winner is announced and the judges decide on who goes forward to the final from the remaining two in the voting ...
I find it supremely ironic that the judges "wildcard" ended up LAST ....!!!
Let the public decide I say ... Forget the "wild cards" ...

And for those buggers that keep harping on about Revelation Avenue, give it a rest will ye' ...
I didn't want 'em, the public didn't want 'em and at the end of the day, even their golden buzzer champion Amanda didn't even want 'em ..!!

They should put through the act which got the most votes in the semi's rather than having a new vote.
