Predict BGT 2015 finalists' careers
The thread where you predict what this year's finalists will do now the final is over.
I predict: Jules & Matisse- Perform at the Royal Variety (obviously), release a book written from Matisse's perspective like Pudsey, star in their own Hollywood movie, appear on CBBC and a few variety shows. Jamie Raven- Get his own ITV2 show, appear on Sunday Night At The London Palladium Cor Glanaethwy- Appear on Songs Of Praise, release a album Old Men Grooving- Appear on a few variety shows (maybe Sunday Night At The London Palladium) Isaac Waddington- Release a album Calum Scott- Release a album Danny Posthill- Probably disappear like the other BGT impressionists Jessie-Jane McParland- Maybe star in a few martial arts films The Neales- Either disappear completely never to be heard of again or release a single without their Dad that'll subsequently flop in the charts UDI- Maybe appear in a few adverts Entity Allstars- Compete on Got To Dance BoyBand- Disappear completely |

Unfortunately, i dont think we will know of any of them in 6 months
As much as the judges and ant and dec tried to persuade us that they had a lot of talent, i really didnt see it last night. UDI had a good act though, and the dog trainer was amazing |

"Calum Scott- Release a album"
He would have done better had he chosen a different song, that one was an awful dirge Bet Cowell has got him signed up already After all, Susan Boyle did not win yet has done very nicely |

I'm guessing Jules was using BGT to break into the movies like Ashley. She may have some success. I think Isaac may become a major star like Ella Henderson. He's a teen heartthrob in the making. Calum may get something. Jamie will get a TV show.

I looked up Ashleigh and Pudsey's earnings since 2012. Including the prize money of £500,000 back then (tax free) Ashleigh has earned £1.5m. She got £350k for book rights and £450k for 3 x 13 week panto seasons. She did another one this Easter not included in that income. Included there was a movie deal and personal appearances. Not bad as she is just 20!
So if Jules and Matisse do well they could do that but I think her act is more complex which ironically might limit it, it's not a quick little dancing act and she is not a teenager with such stage appeal. But who knows?! I think the choir will do some appearances and an album but imagine splitting the income 160 ways, plus really they need an orchestra. Just booking the transport and hotels will bankrupt them, also they have children which limits how many nights they can tour etc. Jamie and Danny are great club acts and now have national profile. There's a decent living to be earned at clubs, conferences, company events and parties, and private parties. Danny could get radio and voice-over work. They need to get top agents and they could certainly live on their income. Personally I think Callum duffed up and was over-rated. He's late 20s. He didn't poll high enough and has had nothing of the exposure of X Factor contestants. He did not show skills in song choice either. I don't think they will invest in an album for him. Isaac has a chance. He is really very good for a 15 year old and his very mature melancholy style at the keyboard is memorable and haunting. He could sell a decent album of downbeat moody songs. But he's weak on personality. So he could be a sort of sub-Jamie Cullum type act or just fade away. The rest will likely disappear. They were already shamelessly advertising for the next season of reality TV fodder on the final. TV chews most of these people up. |
