Or another girl dressing up as Chloe for her audition trick?
Should they have announced how it was done after their act?
What about UDI, should they have given a technical run down of how their act works?
The other dog is part of the act and indeed people voted for the second dog alongside Matisse to get them into the final in the first place.

I remember Lassie from years gone by and he was much better than those two ....
I've seen him rescue drowning kids from lakes and drag people from burning buildings ...
I reckon he could walk a tightrope across Niagara Falls without giving it a second thought ... and no stunt doubles either ...!!
Come to think of it, I haven't seen Lassie for a long, long time ... I do hope he's ok ...
He'd certainly put those two mutts in their place, that's for sure ...!!

I think she tried to cover it up. Someone asked her .... Either Ant or Dec I think ... How long it took her to train Matisse to do the tightrope trick and she said 2/3 months. She had the ideal opportunity then to tell the truth.
I don't think it matters that a double was used. A dog act is a dog act and it was entertaining, and so long as people enjoyed it that's all that matters.
i didnt watch the semi final performance, so i didnt know about any extra dogs involved. The act was named after one dog and one person, and that is what i expected. i didnt mind the 3 legged dog at the end, as that was part of the act i saw. However the inclusion of another dog to do the main stunt of the act seems quite unfair to me. The act should have been named differently. As it is, i thought the one dog performed the main part of the routine. So it was deceptive.

Shows that she wasn't telling the truth as ant and dec asked her how long did it take Matisse to learnt the tightrope and she said a few months.

I voted for Jules & Matisse to win I have no problem with a third dog being used esp at it was trained by Jules. I voted for what I saw on screen and it makes no different if the dog from the semi was used for part of the act.

The reason it's nothing like a film stunt double is because this act is all about a dog doing friggin tricks and stunts..... the story was just a nice little side piece. To then find out the actual star of the show didn't perform all of the tricks and stunts, which are 90% the reason why it's so good is misleading, it's a fact and no stupid analogy or comparison to a Hollywood film will change that. You are just wrong.

Then don't do the trick/stunt.
It's simple, if you're doing a dog show with a specific dog (Matisse) you can't then put a trick in there which the star of the show can't do.
I really cannot get my head around how people think it's completely fine.
I don't have any qualms about it per say, but she tried to hide it, and the act was named after 1 dog.

The who point of Jamies act is deception and illusion, the whole point of Matisses act is for him to perform tricks.
So when the dog is presented as performing a trick which it actually didn't how is this OK?
Like I said before, if Jamie performed a dangerous trick, but then it turned out it wasn't him, would that be OK?

The dogs won with personality and charm.
This thread is absolutely hilarious and I can't believe people can be so petty. However many dogs were involved they were all amazing! Like another poster said, anyone would think they'd got a man dressed up in a dog outfit to walk across the tightrope, instead of another dog doing it. Now that would have been a reason to complain! Whichever way you look at it, it was still a dog walking a tightrope which is pretty damned amazing.
