Jamie Raven was not even that good. OH YES HE WAS
It's called an illusion. He managed to shock/surprise, call it what you will, but he managed it, all because he has mastered the art of illusion. Were it not for the facility to freeze frame or show footage in slow motion, none of us would be any the wiser.
Magicians throughout the ages have used the art of illusion, Harry Houdini and many many more. Slight of hand indeed anything. It is only now we are able to use our slow motion facilities to trace what is happening. |

Jamie Raven was alright but definitely not the best magician they've had on the show. He's no Darcy Oake and I was shocked he somehow managed to come 2nd.

If only there were threads to comment on this.
His tricks were poorly performed and obvious. I would hazard a guess that the judges were "baffled" in a showbiz way. Just like there didnt seem to recognize a plastic half-prop helicopter in the semi finals showbiz folks |
