Yep - but again - is it just down to how the powers manifest themselves? Or as they get used to using them, then there's less impact on their 'here and now'?
It was more a filming thing than a reality thing.

I would have expected the person who wasn't really fighting to be matching their moves but in thin air.

2 eps left to watch and I've had a blast so far - found myself cheering at the tv on many-many occasions.

Episode 1 left me a bit cold to be honest.

I didn't really get into any of the characters and some if the acting was really REALLY bad - especially 'Martha's" girlfriend..."I'm not crying because of what they said" etc

Having said that I've herd the first 2 eps are a bit meh and it gets really good towards the end so I'm not going to give up now!

Personally I was on board from early on in ep1, but I really do think anyone wanting to give the show a try should watch 3 eps. If you like what they do in ep3 then you'll probably like the rest of the season, if ep3 just doesn't work for you then you might like to just stop there.

yeah I normally have at least a 3 episode rule anyway - ever since the Wire

I liked the end of the 2nd ep with the car transport thing!

Watched it all, enjoyed it and looks like we might get another 4 seasons if they get the go ahead.

My only problem was that as much as

Spoiler

Van Damme's friend really reminds me of a young Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, same pretty eyes and that half smug, cheeky smile

- if you're referring to him "retrieving his goods", then I thought that happened in ep3, which is why I recommended the "watch 3eps", as I felt that whole scene showed us what was going to be possible in this Universe the Warshaskis (and that Babylon5 guy) have created.... guess the eps are kinda all merging together.

I would guess the car transport thing refers to Mohinder appearing in Matt's car, then Matt appearing in Mohinder's.

sorry to use Heroes nomenclature I probably mean Mohinder and Will - no wait...never mind.

Then 2 lesbians with a big strap on appeared from nowhere.
And you're complaining?

So is this show rated 18? How much sex, violence, bad language, blood and gore is in the show?

I really don't think so.

Could be . And while good methinks the "Van damn retrieval" in the following ep was the important "if you like this then the series is for you, if you don't then it ain't" event.

As for rating, I'd say 18, though not due to the language.

I wonder if Netflix thought of releasing eps 1/day rather than all at once. This would have aided forum discussions about the series, with it being easy for loads of people to watch one ep a day and then discuss the heck out of it. With all eps available at once, discussion and debate is kinda virtually impossible as we're all at different eps, some having binged over the weekend but needing to hold back so as to not spoil things for those just beginning.

Maybe, for the next Netflix event, it can have its own forum with one thread per ep plus a general thread. That would make discussing individual eps a breeze as there'd be no need to censor things for the not-yet-viewed-it people.

Lesbian strap on sex in episode one, 20 minutes in.

I didn't see hard sex listed in this programme, I thought it was OK for families.

Then 2 lesbians with a big strap on appeared from nowhere.
Personally I find this trend of graphic sex scenes a turn off. Just bored with the whole thing. Same with Orange is the New Black, good programme but far too many graphic oral sex scenes between the women. Was so looking forward to this new show but there are far too many characters, too much chopping from one to the other, before we have got to know them and care about them. Personally I have now watched three episodes and I am disappointed. Great hype, the best bit is the trailer!! The lesbian strap on scene was the final straw!! YUCK

If the dvd boxset comes with a plethora of commentaries, it might just be the first one I buy in donkey's years.

Just checked the IMDB page, and some people really ..... REALLY didn't like it.

After a slow start it was a good ending to the season. Some nice fight sequences.

I hope there is a season two but that it explores the idea of 'sensates' more, rather than just being about a shadowy organisation chasing people or about the people as individuals.

I have watched 4 episodes so far and i am really enjoying it, very good character development and im looking forward to hopefully finding out more about this sensate cluster phenomenon. Sun is my fave character at the moment (badass fighter who has had to put up with an awful family) and my god Nomi had it rough at the hospital, surely that was hugely exaggerated and no longer happens in the USA?

I thought the first three episodes were a bit of a chore to get through but completely picked up after episode four. The character development in particular was excellent and made up for the, at times, absurd plot. It was beautifully made. I really enjoyed Sun's character in particular.

Just done with Episode 4 and it's finally taking a turn for the better. I don't love it yet, but I'm no longer 'meh' on it either like I was for the first 3 episodes. And even thought it was cheesy as hell, I did love the karaoke singalong near the end. It probably helps that I've always liked that song though.

It would have been nice if the bloke could have sung.

It's hardly an original observation but, after 4 episodes, I could really use a bit more plot.

That said, there are enough good things about this to keep me watching for now.

I found it very slow going at first, I think because all of the different Sensates, plus getting to know their families /partners. I'm just about to start episode 9 and really like it now. The relationships between the characters are starting to develop well. My favourites are Riley and the cop.

The Mexican guy seems to have to on much focus on his relationship rather than the whole Sensate experience. I also think the Nigerian guy seems a little removed from the main action. Not all of them seem that curious about what's happening to them either.

Christ on a bike, this makes Fortitude look rushed. Any slower and it'd be going backwards.

'Martha's" girlfriend..."I'm not crying because of what they said" etc!
Indeed. You'd think if anything was going to make her cry it would've been her encounter with steely dan, earlier in the episode.
