I watched the first two episodes last night. I was close to giving up after the first episode, as I don't have a clue what is going on..but then I think, I'm just going to go along with the ride and see what happens! It's intrigued me enough for me to carry on. I will watch another two episodes this evening.

I finally caught up with this show. It's a slow start. So many characters. It felt like too much. But you get used to them by the end. So many good interlinked scenes. I thought it worked really well. And the

I was really upset at the end

If I had to choose a character it would be Riley too, I feel like I know more about her, but I love them all and feel guilty choosing one. My main dilemma is who is more gorgeous, Will or Wolfgang, I'm torn!
And I found both Will and Wolfgang absolutely gorgeous, although I'm slightly more smitten with Wolfgang at the moment. Those scenes in the swimming pool... I think I'm beginning to feel all hot and bothered

I enjoyed most of it, but could have done without the sex and birthing scenes. I think being left to the imagination would have been better.

Enjoyed every minute ( unlike some above ), mind boggling edge of seat that made me come back for more every 50 odd minutes.
Have to say it takes a lot for my wife to watch a series over a weekend, but just finished it after starting yesterday afternoon, she says she would sit down and watch season 2 this minute. She loved it. |

I saw this advertised on Netflix and was deliberating over whether to watch it (another show with a cast who looked like they'e just stepped off the pages of Vogue...) but it was recommended by a friend so I've just had a binge of the whole season over the last couple of days.
I really like it. Yes, it did start very slowly, not picking up really until episode 7 but I think that was a bold decision by the Wachowskis and JMS to get the characters really well developed before plunging us into the rather frenetic final three episodes. Clearly the producers are thinking about being in this for the long haul (kind of reminds me of Lost and how they built the characters up over several seasons with the flashbacks). Maybe a little too much sex and violence? Perhaps but that's the way a lot of shows these days try to entice viewers. The likes of Netflix or HBO have to compete with the big American network channels and I guess the easiest way is to offer what they don't (blood and boobs). Still, it was enjoyable and very well executed and the slow build-up did allow the characters to be reasonably well fleshed out and the locations were great, from Nairobi to Seoul to Mumbai but especially Reykjavik. Iceland's landscape is just out of this world. |

Finished this yesterday, and I'm not fully understanding the predicament that Will is seemingly in. He looked Whispers in the Eyes - so now Whispers can see his every move, or something..? Will subsequently drugged himself unconscious so that Whispers would lose track of him. Does that now mean that Will has to remain unconscious? And whilst Will didn't need to kill himself, what was stopping him from putting a bullet in Whispers' head exactly?

Lastly i don't understand when you think Will could shoot whispers? He only saw him for two seconds on the elevator and can't shoot him while he is talking to him in his head. |

But Whispers was a) in the Helicopter, and b) coming to get him by car once they hit the mist/fog. It's a no brainer really. If Will wasn't up to the task, I'm sure Wolfblood would have done it.

I've noticed it's 5 stars on Netflix, so fingers crossed, they will give it the go ahead. |

Only got 3 episodes left to watch and still really liking this. But the one thing I would say I am not so keen on is that guy hunting them all down, that's been over done so many times and I don't feel it's necessary in this. The interaction with the characters and their story lines is enough to keep my interest.

I guess i'm going against the grain here, i found it very hard going and a complete mess of a show. Heads up for the continuity guys though, their job must have been a nightmare.

I agree about the contnuity guys - that and the logistics of (apparently) moving most of the cast to most of the 8 major locations. It must've required incredibly detailed planning months in advance to shoot the pickup shots.
It must be one of most expensive TV shows ever made per episode. |
