1995-2001 was awesome, but second to the original Watts in 1985-88.

I reckon most die hard fans would say the originals, Den and Angie, or maybe Kat and Alfie.

But for me, I voted Chrissie.

Might sound strange. But 2005 was an awesome year for the show and The Vic became almost like a character in itself. Den died there, and also was behind the bar for some of it so it was refreshing to see. Also, Peggy wanted it back and it also prompted Phil and Grant to return. Which led to The Mitchells back in that pub.

One of my favourite storylines and the Vic felt so important. Also made me feel the same during Archie's reign of terror through 2009.

2005 was a brilliant year for the show. Chrissie running rings around the Mitchells was fantastic.

2005 was great also loved the Mitchells first time around.

Out of interest does anybody know why the producers took Pat & Frank out of the Vic, could understand if it was to put Sharon in charge but they ended up being replaced by Eddie Royle. Was this a bit of a demotion at the time for Pat & Frank or not?

Watts, Pat and Frank, Sharon and Grant, Watts Era 2 for me. Kat and Alfie were good first time round but strangely flat second time. I didn't mind the Mitchells. Carters are ok when they are being landlords and not suffocating under their convoluted plots, eg Nancy and Roxy, Alfie and Mick etc.

Best Vic moment is Sharon swooping in in 2001. Love it!

I liked all the 'Moon' eras of the Vic, especially when Alfie lived there with Nana and Spencer so I chose Kat and Alfie!

Other than that:

Pat and Frank
Sharon and Grant

I have a few joint favourite eras so I voted for Kat and Alfie 2002 - 2004 because I didn't think anybody else would and I think their first spell there is underrated - they brought a lot of life and energy to the place and had a very good two hander there too.

I voted for them too!

They were brilliant in this era, especially with Nana and Spencer there too!

I've watched the show for nearly 9 years and my favourite has always been the Mitchell's part 2 since then. Never boring, always fresh, and amazing storylines! They left The Vic WAY before their time. Then again, it probably wouldn't have been the same without Peggy, idk.

Hopefully!

Thing is, their future seems somewhat uncertain.

I'm 90% sure they'll be back after the spin off.

Shane Richie has already told fans on Twitter he's not leaving for good, and there's storylines that need to be addressed again on the main show, as well as the spin off IMO.

Under no point have we been told they're leaving. We've always been told it's just a break, and DTC said they'd be gone for a while, which tells me that they will eventually be back, so I wouldn't worry.

But we haven't been told that they WILL be back either!

And what Shane said was very unclear and there was a thread posted the other night regarding whether or not they were returning and the OP mentioned that Jake Wood had already had his contract renewed but S&J haven't so it seems likely that Jake will be back after a year off but S&J's future seems to be just 'up in the air' to me!

Surprises me more people haven't voted Sharon in the poll. Thought she might be a dark horse for it.

Can't confirm Jesse is coming back but not Shane so nothing is being said.
