Yep, it seems to have quite a different feeling to the previous series, but still really like it.
Some odd bits, but some laugh out loud bits like before. |

I really enjoy it, and yes, some bits are strange and some bits are laugh out loud, but I still like it.

Yeah, felt the first series was hit and miss so giving it another chance with this series.

I didn't mind the first series. The start of this episode hasn't made me eager to watch any more of Series 2.

The first series was hit and miss, although I'd say more hits than miss. We enjoyed it and are recording the ITV+1 showing at ten to enjoy later in the week and I'm sure this series will be the same but we will almost certainly stick with it. The first series has some real laugh out loud moments in it.

I like it. It's the "too daft to laugh at" sort of thing I like.

Apparently Ian mckellan said he over acted in the first series as he's not use to sitcoms so this series he's under played it abit

Well it turned out pretty well in the end. Of course plenty of people will have been bemused by it but I loved it. It's very silly but that's the point.

This is the episode I saw being recorded. Celia Imrie, Frances de la Tour and McKellen and Jacobi... such talent wasted on such a lame script, unfortunately.

I thought that was really good. Although I watched it all I can't remember much about series 1, which suggests that it wasn't that memorable, but this did seem funnier. Some very good lines and moments. I'll stick with it.

Second half was brilliant. Nice to have the series back, glad ITV renewed it.

They've definitely toned it down. It feels far more believable in terms of characterisation if not in script. Still love it but I think it's a shame they didn't keep hold of Celia Imrie for more than one episode; I think she's a great actress.

Loved this episode. Certainly had a different feel to Season One. Not least because some scenes were set outside the flat.

That was a fantastic start to the series. Marcia Warren always makes me laugh. She should have her own show.

The only thing I don't like about the show or quite understand is the Ash character whose just simpering and irritating. And why does he spend so much time in the company of two elderly gays and their female friend? Is he their neighbour or something? If yes, then I suppose it does make a bit more sense that he might have developed a good friendship with them. But if not, its too unbelievable. I could also happily do without having to hear Jimmy Somerville's caterwauling over the opening titles. I wish they'd changed that and used something like Lou Reed's 'Vicious' instead. |

I really enjoyed Series 1 but thought this was more miss that hit unfortunately. Still, with such a magnificent cast I shall again be watching every episode.

Ah, ok, thanks. I probably knew but had forgotten that. I suppose that makes his involvement have a bit more sense.
