And Sophie was talking about how Zara was being treated in a much harsher way to Alex, pointing out the difference between how males and females are viewed when it comes to sex. Adam also came across very sensibly about it, and I'm pretty sure I heard Tom saying as well how it wasn't a big deal. It was the instant reactions of Kady, Malin, Olivia and Scott that I found most uncomfortable - the girls' instant bitching about Zara, and Scott's instant 'did you bang her? you banged her didn't you' comments the second he and Alex were downstairs. Very classless.”
I agree, Cara, Sophie and Adam gave good views on the situation. I think the others reacted with surprise because it is out of character for Zara. If it had been Olivia they wouldn't have been surprised. I think Kady acted bitchily but she was annoyed because she knew Zara would regret her actions. I think Kady was right in that Zara wasn't being true to herself. I feel Zara was trying to prove a point as she had been voted with having the least banter and was low on the attractiveness scale. That was a cruel task and quite uncomfortable. Attractiveness is so subjective.
I think Olivia acted against Zara at first just as an emotional reaction of feeling mugged off again. It was wrong of her to call Zara slaggy and I hate seeing misogynistic insults being thrown around, by another woman. But I think she was hurt. She probably did get with Adam in order to stay in the game, but isn't that the whole point of the game? Zara knew Olivia had a connection with Alex; there was no immediate connection between Zara and Adam and Adam had gravitated towards Olivia of his own accord. Zara could have chosen the other new boy to go to the hideaway with. He had a more genuine interest in getting to know her. I do feel that Zara wanted to get one over on Olivia, hence why she chose Alex. I think that Olivia did cut both parties some slack and was really nice to Zara when she could have made her feel worse. If Adam and Olivia had had sex in a first date type situation, Zara would have been the first to call her out on it and be judgemental.
I think it is incredibly unfair that Zara has been stripped of her crown, to her it was a big part of who she is. Like another poster mentioned the pagaent queens are seen as sexual objects, but when they act on their sexuality, it suddenly becomes wrong.
