Who are you talking about Emma or Tom. Emma is 19 though very mature and Tom is 24,
I was replying to a poster who felt if Sophie was a man going after Emma we may find it unacceptable? I personally don't see either combination of ages a problem

OK, since when has the Water Bottle become an indispensable accessory, to be carried at all times, like your sunglasses and the arse-flash-no-knicker look?

It used to be those little bottles of Evian (name any brand) that people constantly slurped from in a very noisy manner (and still do - ugh) but now we seem to have gone for ALL WEARING THE SAME ONE. Clonesville.

Did I miss something?

Yours etc,

Old Bat

Im not going to trawl back through the thread to support my position but I do recall earlier posts that suggested just that and at the time I found it odd but wasn't sufficiently motivated to respond. So let's agree to disagree.

I find Sophie interesting, as you do, but I also think she is very calculated and manipulative...not knocking her for it its just an observation, after all a game show needs game players.
Agreed - not my norm - but I don't live other peoples lives so what is the norm for them is the norm for them.

I agree with calculated, I also think she is smart - I don't agree with manipulative - I think she pretty much says it how she sees it. It is a game you are right, that's why I don't understand all this boy code and girl code malarkey

Me too. They have terrifyingly limited vocab this lot. Thick? Try incomprehensible.

I think his level of utter boredom with the whole situation is now off the Richter scale and he is turning into a parody of himself.

It's like being at an interminably dull dinner party of of total prats when you have stopped bothering to be entertaining and you enter the '**ck it, who cares* frame of mind and start messing with the guests heads. Maybe because I hail from the same country I can understand an Irish man's sense of humour better. I may be mistaken, but hey.

I think the only girl he has ever liked has been Sophie and he regards the rest of them as total dingbats - which they are - and that is why he has never really tried very hard.
I think you have hit the nail on the head totally there. My gut feeling is he is much smarter then the other boys and I feel he really does respect women, I haven't forgot what he said about Leana but context and situation was everything in that convo. He and leana seemed to become good friends she did like him. He would be the only one I would go near lol

As I said having sex in full view of others including an ex is dirty. Do you think that kind of behaviour is acceptable for any respectable woman?

LOL , the voiceover bloke makes me laugh when he is taking the piss
I love the narrator!! Him and the programme makers, with the background music makes the show!

Adam, too many metaphors. We get it, but last night he said about five in one episode!

The new guy Adam, can't get over his hairline for him to be attractive. And why do all these dudes know each other??
The new girl, I think is attractive but then sometimes when you look at her she isn't - one of those ones - however not digging those tattoos on the back of the thighs - she'll regret that when she's older

Thought Scott was funny with his own snippet about the frying pan and sausage

And finally, what does Shapey mean?

I think the word shapey stemmed from when Rykard or Olivia were worried they looked shapey under the covers, I'm pretty sure they've made this word up!

Explain what you mean by "dirty".

I don't think sexual behaviour has any bearing on one's respectability.

Look at Lady Mary from Downton Abbey. Shagged a Turk to death, rode Charles Blake in a pigpen and took Tony Gillingham to a hotel in Liverpool and threw him about like an empty tracksuit.

Yes still she exudes class and respectability.

Forget the "Next" comment this is a discussion forum and respect is a basic rule and perhaps you should remember that. We are all entitled to pass our opinions.
Hear, hear!

Is there a concept to this show or is it all about going on holiday and getting a free grope or romp in the sack if you're lucky?

Except if your name is Adam and then you should go on a Train Spotting Holiday.

I agree with you Deeferone, Adam is smarter than the other boys. One i would happy sit and have a conversation with. I like his sense of humour.

Scott was very funny in last nights ep. Perhaps because he wasnt seen babysitting Kady. The frying pan gag was fab, I actually did LOL.

Im really enjoying Adam's dad-ness. The metaphors are gold. I agree with an earlier post about how he is perhaps a bit too clever and complex compared to the others. I think his sense of humour is too dry for most people. I get it. And if i was on the show i think i would enjoy his company more than I would the other 'lads'

And that is on a good Day. Imo he brings absolutely nothing positive to the Show.

He should go. Give the place to someone who actually looks like they're enjoying themselves and be in with a chance of hooking up with someone. Adam does nothing or gives nothing to the show

I have not read the posts on here in that way at all. I don't think anyone on here is saying public sex is the norm. I think they are suggesting on a TV programme the likes of Love Island it is the norm for that type of programme. Do they need to air it, I would suggest not, watching it is boring but what else really are they doing - there doesn't appear to be many interesting conversations aired or games they are playing. When Paul was in love island he come up with games and interviews, it was entertaining. So far I haven't seen any depth to the islanders (with the exception of Sophie)
Yea there were a few. About how it was normal if you were staying in a hostel communal room for people to be getting it on on the next bed etc. Also saying we must be of an older generation (or some such) to find it so strange!!

I think the reason people are so taken aback by Emma having sex is the WAY she did it so blatantly with sheets off on purpose, possibley for Tom's 'benefit'. Especially when she said things like this:

"I lost respect for Sophie [after she had sex with Tom] because I do think she's a lovely girl [but] how lovely can you be if you have sex on TV - in broad daylight in a wardrobe?" she told Digital Spy ahead of her entrance into the villa last week.

Did she do all that with 'the help' watching though?

Given that it was all fictional and derived from the creativity of a writers pen - I think it matters little

I think love island is much more tame showing sexual scenes compared to big brother.
There seems to always be cheesy background music on love island and no close up shots of their kissing etc or talking at night. Big brother is more realistic.
Also why no Saturday show ? Who knows what they all do on their day off ..

Considering it only as a week left I doubt it.

I think Scott has been okay recently. Inoffensive and almost likeable!
