My first post, or one of them, was about Luis - deeply shallow but at least I'm consistent.
I just like looking at Luis.

He doesnt have to speak.
Fair enough

I've just read the Danielle interview on the Radio Times and I'm surprised at the level of micro managing going on. It's far more produced than I thought; though given that the chosen contestants seem to have management and aren't from 'real life', perhaps I was foolish to think otherwise. Disappointing all the same.

Great minds .... I like him too . My favourite "boy".
Chris is by far the best... others seem thick as pig sh*t and as for posh lad is he even old enough to date

Pure beaut! and that's a scouse term that isn't positive

I didn't want Jon and Hannah to be the power couple! It needs shaken up a bit and those two at this rate will be coasting to the final! And are they real...

I'm not a fan of Chris, there's something I just can't put my finger on about him

Naomi reminds me of the actress Sarah Alexander

Wish it was on tonight

I am getting fed up of seeing and hearing The Cockney Fog Horn and the Scouse blow up doll, ive ended up Fast Forwarding through most of it now, Chris seems decent but obviously will be kicked out soon because he is normal, Jordan is a decent guy, i did like Zoe but she has started to show herself as not being that nice tbh, i'm watching to see someone hopefully hit Josh, and for Fog Horn and Blow Up Doll to split up

John was so rude to Caroline last night, went off him!

I love Luis and Lauren, Jordan and Daisy and Chris by himself.

Does anyone thing Jon and hannah winning that challenge was a fix. The prize didn't seem appropriate for any other couple?
I thought so too, if another couple had won would they have got a 'joint' message also or individual ones? As you say, it wouldn't make sense for any of the other couples to "meet the parents" as their relationships just haven't blossomed as quickly as Jonathan and Hannah's (needless to say, because they didn't know each other prior to being on the show!)

The task was pretty skewed as well as the result, I mean in a task like that it goes without saying that the couple who are the most comfortable with each other will win. Most of the others just spent the majority of the task looking extremely uncomfortable/on the verge of gagging, except for maybe Josh and Naomi.

Interesting, could you elaborate more on the micro managing ? So are you saying all those taking part belong to some management companies ?

I can't stand Jon and Hannah. Most annoying fake couple in there. No surprise that they were voted power couple, this is so ****ing predictable. They need to **** off or be split up. He doesn't give a toss about Hannah. All his fake over the top smiles and banter is so forced, the prick needs a good slap. And she is way too loud and bouncy and not very attractive.

They've got the vote off all wrong. By voting off a couple you will lose an interesting character. The boys should pick a girl to go and the girls should pick a boy to go. Leaving the remaining halves to pair up. And newbies should be immune for a while.
I agree and particularly the bit in bold . I mean Chris was given no chance for us to get to know him .

I'm getting really cross with it as Naomi and Daisy were given immunity, but the boys don't. We've seen ever boy go in less than 48 hours. It's really unfair. Especially as the boys in there are thick as thieves and are determined to all stay in together.

So are we assuming Luis, Hannah, Jon and Daisy knew each other beforehand?

Just seen the article from the Radio Times concerning Danielle's time on the show and she says a lot of the conversations were set up and structured .

“They’d be like, Chris and Danielle, go upstairs sit on the bed and talk about tonight. They’d stand behind the door, and keep telling you ‘No, no, not that. Now talk about this. They wouldn’t let you finish the conversation until word for word you’ve said what they want you to say. You just give up and end up saying it.”

“[Like] the Luis thing, I think it came across maybe that I did like him. At the end of the day, I found him attractive, but I had to make out I liked him more than I did, if I’m honest.”

“To be honest, I think the fact that I didn’t really push it, I didn’t pursue things with Luis, are the reasons I’m sat here right now. But I’m never ever going to pretend I’m something that I’m not and act just to stay in the show. So I don’t regret anything"

For those who want to see article google Radio Times and piece called 'Love Island’s Danielle has just totally pied the show!'

Wow, no wonder there's no live feed for the show.

The 'micro managing' I was referring to was the way producers were interfering with conversations and not just letting them happen naturally.

I think you can see what I mean now.

I wonder why producers can't just let things play out naturally? They may not get what they want, (or think they want), but if it's more real, surely that can only be better, both for us as viewers and the islanders?

Seems that it's more like a 'scripted reality' type show, like TOWIE and MIC.

I'm going off the whole contrived nonsense rapidly

I'm shocked and disappointed at so much interference from the producers . I mean to be setting up conversations and telling them what they must say is just unbelievable .

Can't stand that Towie or MIC and its looking like this show is just another version of the same .

Do you remember the original celebrity version, 10 years or so ago? I'm pretty sure that wasn't mucked about and meddled with, they just let them get on with it and make fools of themselves, heh.

BB has gone the same way, too much production involvement has killed the concept.

BB is slightly different though. Producers don't tell them to start conversations with others. Everything they say is their own reaction and their own thoughts.
