Love Island is entertaining, but it's so cringe how fake and stages it is. For example, when you see people who literally never speak to each other suddenly having a deep conversation with one another. For example, Sophie and Tina last night lying on the bed outside. You could tell the producers had asked them to sit there and speak about how Sophie felt about the twitter task. The worst though was Alex and Adam J's conversation by the fire outside...so staged by the producers. Have you not noticed how every single episode has a structured storyline? It's edited and structured to within an inch of its life!

When did Sophie say that - I missed that, but the truth is it is a game - should we be angry with them for playing it? or should we be let down that they have not played it well enough to win the £50K?
I don't know if producers could just let things take their course - its is a show - if they had a villa full of people like Adam (which I do like a lot) - however he is so laid back he is nearly on it - if everyone was like that we would be watching people getting a tan. So I do understand that producers need to add a few spicy ingredients to the mix. Before I take your bet If it is the procedures steering the ship - are all the housemates aware - so was the crying by Katie and Sophie for the camera's directed by the producers - if your theory is correct the crying had to be fake - this is the bit I am finding difficult both girls looked really upset to me - are you saying they are brilliant actors? ![]() ![]() I really did flinch when I heard that - even though we have not yet seen it in context.... I tell you Deeferone I'm really pissed off at the producers - and to answer your question yes there is a lot of acting going on mixed with the actual real emotions - the whole thing is just so cringey and fake looking now for that very reason. I think the producers have mega ramped up their interference and the 'scripts' they are making the islanders 'act' has just TOTALLY ruined watching LI for me... I would love to see the contracts the Islanders have to sign before going on the show - because surely there must be a clause in there that says to stay on the island you MUST do what you're told by producers.... Okay I'm done for now - I think it's cruel to make Sophie look a villain when I really don't think she is one. So are you taking up my bet action now?? {To be honest what I said I bet the producers will do next is just whimsical thinking on my part - I just think they are such dimwits that, that is the kind of thing they could make happen to Sophie/make Sophie do next.... - we shall find out tonight... - #i'm still frowning because before I used to look forward to LI with a smile but now I'm dreading what will happen next...}Z T

BIB - at the end of the episode they showed a clip of what's to come tonight & in it Katie was upset with Sophie and yelled at her 'you mugged me off!' & then they showed a few more seconds and the very last bit showed Sophie looking sort of under pressure but resigned at the same time and she said 'that's the game Katie' or something along those lines...

I have always been a bit confused by Terry - all the girls seem to say he is the eye candy of the villa - I just don't see it - am I missing something startlingly obvious also the boys all seem to love him too. So are we seeing a very bad edit or well I don't know I just don't understand why the popularity??
The reason all the boys worship him without him having lifted a finger is because he's "cool" unlike Tom and Adam who were the exact opposite in how they carried themselves. He could chat with Nathan, Scott and al the others making them laugh whilst also seeming to be genuinely concerned about their wellbeing. The girls just seem to like his general size and looks from a distance but I agree wonder if the attraction has worn off for the others after they saw his Malin/Emma antics. I agree he acted like a complete bellend when Malin confronted him - should have just taken it all, said how sorry he was and then apologised another hundred times but he's not exactly used to doing this i guess! Think he'd also convinced himself how awful Malin was in the interim so didn't take long before all those thoughts came racing into his head. The one I don't get at all is the Olivia attraction - those tattoo's so hideous, personality meh at best and continually whining away at Alex. He probably will end up leaving her but will largely be down to her antics way she carries on!

I wish we could vote for individuals rather than couples but that rather defeats the purpose.
I would go with Scott & Cara if I could. I always find it funny that the self proclaimed king and queen of banter - Scott and Kady - are so good at dishing it out and taking it than it only takes them about two comments each before they are both crying and having emotional meltdowns! |

Rumour has it Toms going back in to confront Sophie and Emma (yawn), and the producers also have others that have left on standby ready and waiting to go back in it cause havoc for the final... why?

Just been on holiday and watching on catch-up.. 2nd episode in and really struggling. The over-use of the word "loik" every 2 seconds and every time Scott speaks is "****ing, know wot a mean, know wot a mean"
I can't concentrated on what they're actually saying |

Adam J is a funny one, it's like he's been manufactured somehow lol, his funny hair and perfect teeth, he's got a good body and quite handsome, but there's something a bit weird? I don't know if it's his dress (costumes lol) or his demeanour, is he a little socially awkward? I don't mean it being mean, there's just something about him.
That's it - he's a bit like a Sims character, someone you'd invent and dress

I cant quite remember but basically he didnt know what the vote was or meant and seemed certain that it wouldn't affect him because of spending most his time in Ibiza.
Best bit of narration - "....wont affect Terry because he spends half the year in Europe. And the other half in Europe" Ha - yeh some really good oneliners that keep the shows entertainment levels up when some dul lepisodes. My other favourite line was when Emma walked in on the first night and Iain Stirling commented "I think Tom might win that heartbeat challenge now"

Terry is bit of an arse but Malin was unbearable!! Appeared to me like she just wanted Terry as her "trophy" to stand behind and show off. Thought she was untouchable as his girlfriend and started acting accordingly like a 14 yr old in the playground throwing her weight about. Glad she's gone and don't want to see her in the media anymore.

Yes have just started to notice this the more I have watched last couple of weeks.
I can only assume it will be even more staged next year as the ratings keep rising. I mainly watch it for the funny voiceover and idiotic things they say NATURALLY but won't bother if they just turn it into Towie in a villa. I watch this and then Newsnight Bit like those people who get The Times and hide a copy of the Daily Star inside.

Agree with you 100%. She was voted out for a reason never mind what Terry is. I think he had a lot to put up with.

Having watched tonight's preview I have to say Sophie is not helping herself
Katie is still new in the villa so they have not yet scripted much rubbish for her - however the dimwitted j*ck*ss producers still have 1 week to screw Katie over too...!! We the viewers are being mugged off big time! ![]() Z T

She is 30 about time she grew up and stop being a cowardly people-pleaser with no backbone. Emma only 19yrs handled her and controlled her like a teenager. No sympathy for Sophie she did it all on her own. The producers are cleaning house, the weak ones are being flushed out.

So the producers told Sophie to lie and say to Katie that she said from the beginning she only wanted to couple up as friends? Let's suppose that's true, then Sophie is still stupid for going along with it. She keeps digging herself a hole. I thought there was still hope for her but nope
