I'm really enjoying this but the *only* thing I don't like about this show is why do the girls always have the power? I hope this week it gets switched and the boys decide who they want to couple with as A) would make for amazing tv viewing and B) it's fair.

The looks on the original girls facing last night were priceless!
I think the boys will have the power this week. Caroline said the 2 new girls will have first pick of the guys, so I would assume that after that the 4 remaining guys then pick which girls they want to team up with, otherwise it doesn't make much sense - they'll be 6 girls and only 4 guys.

I can't stand most of them, the only genuine nice people seem to be Jordan, Chris, Zoe, Lauren and Rachel, the rest i just FF past, i can't be bothered to listen to them.

I thought it was supposed to be on ITV2 all this week at 9pm but tonight's TV schedule says Spiderman is on instead?

Oh yes, WTF is that all about?

The nightly 9pm time slot was perfect, if they're going to start buggering about with that I'm out

Such a load of old rubbish, full of horrible fake people...yet I can't stop watching it
When I need reminding that conviction is a greater foe of truth than lies, I will read Nietzsche. When I am in the mood for moronic bullshit and unfettered mammaries
I will tune into ITV2

I'm so glad there's people on here who are hooked on this show.

NONE of my friends like it (or are owning up to like it) so this thread is the only place where I can come, read comments and talk about the show. Its like therapy!!!!!!

Still loving Zoe and I hope Jordan stays true to her as I'm warming to him (or am I also being sucked in by all the "niceness" just to stay in the game.....).

I expect the two new girls (the blonde one especially) will put the cat amonst the pigeons.....no doubt Luis and Omar will go for them....I think Johnathan and Jordan will stay true.....but who knows!

Am annoyed its not on tonight. I had my tv schedule all sorted!!!! (Sad, but true)

Im here! I'm a fan, so disappointed it's not on tonight though- just as I'm getting into it as well

Really don't like josh, and think he'll maybe go for the new girl, don't like Jess either so hoping this does happen!

My favourite girl is Zoe, think she's lovely and I love her swim wear!

Is Hannah and Jonathan real? Heard a couple of views but I kind of thought Hannah was genuine in that if she puts out he would go elsewhere... Am I naive?

I dont like Josh or Jess either so I'm hoping he'll go for one of the new girls and put Jess's nose out of joint

I think Jonathan is real. Not sure about Hannah. But then maybe Jonathan is just playing a really good game. I really dont know. I've become quite cynical about this lot and sort of lump them all together in the fact that they are ALL desperate to stay and will do ANTHING/say ANYTHING to stay. Only Zoe seems to be "real"

Ratings suggest most people are giving Love Island a very wide berth, so don't worry, this pile of pus probably won't be coming back.
Also ever get the impression ITV 2 makes you feel dirty as a channel? It is the home of mindless reality shows, Jeremy Kyle all day and rubbish entertainment like Celebrity Juice. It really is the sort of channel that has the same sort of image as a cesspit.

I'm another quite enjoying this It's trashy, cheesy, and Caroline Flack doesn't seem natural presenting it either, but I can't help myself. My family always take the mick that I love cheesy TV so this will do fine.

Can't stand any of them mind you. So crude and the men are pretty vile and not remotely attractive but it's just light entertainment I guess, watching them make tits out of themselves Am interested to see how quickly they drop their current girls for the two new ones!

I think tonight is just a catch up of the last week unfortunately

Oh. I thought it was a normal programme, showing what happened after the two girls turned up...

Like Pinkminxy I also assumed it would just show us what happened in the daytime on Thursday before the girls arrived (I think they didn't arrive until around 10pm), you know how the Big Brother episode the day after an eviction just used to show what happened during the day before the eviction (not sure if they still do this as I haven't watched in years).

I'm hoping I'm wrong though, I can't wait to see what has happened post- new girls arrival.

Just looked at my tv guide and it says its a catch up on all the drama of the last five days......so basically just repeating what they've already shown!

Grrrr

So first they miss an episode on Friday after saying it would be on all week and now they just give us a digested version of the episodes we've already seen. Way to frustrate your viewers, ITV2.

Sooo annoyed. So basically we get to watch this Sunday to Thursday, Friday there is no show at all and on Saturday is just a repeat of Sunday to Thursday

People do know that Johnathan & Hannah already have the same management don't they? They spent time together in Marbella and Essex before the show.

Neither of them is being 'real', they were both tasked with getting together to share the £50k before they went in!

Yes, I read that. Doesnt bother me tbh. Everything that happens on this show is so false I've taken it with a pinch of salt

I had my suspicions...

If that really is the case then they don't deserve a single penny.

It's a shame that most reality tv contestants don't have a real day job anymore, they're all wannabe celebrities. I do miss the days when the people we saw in shows like Big Brother and Shipwrecked (which was similar to the Love Island format in a way) were just regular people who saw going on the aforementioned shows as an interesting experience rather than a gateway to fame.

Does anyone know if the contestants for Love Island were recruited via agencies or if there was an open casting call for the general public to apply? It just seems odd that if Jonathan and Hannah applied the usual way that both would be picked which makes me think most of the contestants are probably from agencies.

It's a shame that no marks who appear on these shows now see these crummy, disposable shows as a way of becoming famous, although I doubt anyone who wins Love Island will be very famous.
This week Christopher Lee died. In a varied life of 93 years, he was a tea boy, a champion fencer for his school, worked in military intelligence, apprehended Nazis on the run, then became an accomplished actor for 60 years as well as becoming a part time opera singer and heavy metal star at the age of 90. How many of the obnoxious, fame hungry little wannabes in reality shows will achieve that, or still be major stars in their nineties?
