Okay I might be totally stupid but I am starting to believe that Max is genuinely starting to like Jess.
When I met the man who is now my husband I nearly dumped him for very superficial reasons. I had a conversation with a good friend who told me off for being a ********, pointed out that I was always going for flash idiots who loved themselves and treated me badly. She made me see how well my new bloke was treating me and made me see that he was probably a keeper.
Fast forward a few years and I am so happily married to that lovely man who is loyal, supportive and loves me completely. I love him too and wouldn't swap him for anyone. If he ever heard some of the mean, superficial and cruel things I said about him back when I was talking to my friend he would be devastated even now. I don't think he would recognise me as the same person I am now with him. Thank god that was not filmed and my friend would never hurt either of us by repeating it.
Maybe I'm reading too much into a TV programme full of young people looking at a £50,000 prize but isn't it possible Max is realising what a dick he has been and is genuine in his new feelings towards Jess?

I believe Max does like and fancy Jess to an extent but not enough. I think he really WANTS to like her though - especially after knowing how popular she is and with what his and Josh's parents said about Naomi.
I don't think this makes him a bad person. Sometimes the feelings just aren't there. It looks like he is trying and making an effort - though obviously it's not easy to forget the comments he made about her before.
I reckon they'll be together for a little while on the outside but I don't see it as long term. Then again, I don't see any of the love island "relationships" being long term.

Sad this is ending tonight. It's been entertaining during a time when there's not been much on. As individuals I like Jess, Max, Jon and Lauren. The rest of them are arseholes.

I totally agree. It makes me sad that more and more people are falling for his gameplan and have forgotten how disgustingly vile he was about her just a couple of weeks ago..then he hears from numerous people that she's popular and all of a sudden he wants to be with her?!

now to the nitty gritty i have said all along that Max has never truely been himself in there all he has said and done was to "fit in" with the other lads and his conversation last night with Jess proved it, he regrets a lot of what hes said and done in there.
I thought it took a lot for him to be honest about how he really is on the outside and how he is not always able to convey how he feels to a girl. those two have a chemistry next to none and he does have genuine feelings for her and her for him. given a chance away from the cameras these two have a chance of a real relationship,and all joking aside any children they do have will be georgeous as both Max and Jess are a stunning looking couple . Can see him getting modelling jobs from this and her career will soar .

have to say though though Jess looked stunning in that wedding dress and Max rather dapper in his suit too .

I didn't really see the point of the babies in the villa. I know it was a task and the losers wouldn't be able to go to the party. And so Lauren and Josh lost the task and got to go to the party

I really don't get all the love on here for Jess. What is so great about her?
Don't get me wrong. I don't dislike the girl, but her intro was appalling and she did not come across as a girls girl. The way she responded when she got pied off by Josh left me speechless and her self esteem is in the gutter when it doesn't need to be.

I think some people of forgetting the age of Jess and Max there only 22 - out of all the couples they are acting typical of their age ... They're had their ups and downs like most new couples do - their having fun being themselves - not declaring love for each other just enjoying themselves.
Luis is 20 years old - says he 'bangs' 10s , didnt he claim to sleep with 5 people in one night and now hes acting like an old man round Cally - talking about marriage and weddings - dont believe it . He has changed his personality completely to try and win the show , people should also remember how he was in week 1 of the show.
