Linda refuses to allow Shirley to see baby Ollie, which Mick will no doubt probably break, but is it the right decision?

After everything she been through and the way Shirley has treated her rightly so imo.

Good for Linda!

Valuable lesson for Shirley - if you want to see your son's children try and get on/stay cordial with their mother!!!

Linda should point her in the direction of Carly and HER long forgotten son!

She'll be getting her hands on Roya/Jade soon enough and probably cause all kinds of problems for the Masoods.

Good. Until Shirley apologises and stops treating Linda like dirt she deserves nothing, especially after the way she behaved at the hospital. Frankly if I were Linda I wouldn't let Shirley anywhere near me or my home and it's infuriated me at times to hear Linda repeatedly defend Shirley to Mick, but she's a better person than I am.

I'm sure Shirley will martyr it and Mick will cave in against Linda's wishes (like always) though.

I used to like Shirley but the way she's treated Linda is terrible. If a relative of my bloke's accused me of lying about rape and brought the rapist with her she would be gone from our house never to return!

Shirley wasn't that bothered about Carly's kid, so why the sudden obsession with aroma and Ollie, I don't buy it.

I don't blame Linda, I wouldn't want an old drunk breathing toxic fumes all over my baby either.

Shirley did care about Carly's son, remember when she found out she was a grandma from Denise and she was devestated that Carly hadn't told her and then there was a lovely scene of Carly/Jimmy/Shirley back in 2012. When Shirley was going to leave before she had kept some sunnies that Jimmy had given her too. The fact that they are never mentioned is purely down to the writing, imo. I can understand Linda's point of view and I can understand Shirley's. It will be better for everyone once Shirley knows about Dean and she apologizes go Linda. Everyone knows I like Shirley but I had hoped the Dean defence would take a backseat for a while, seems not though. Shirley's part in the Jade/Roya story seems to be supporting Dean. I just want Dean to be found out and leave now!

I don't blame Linda but I'm sure Shirley will reunite with her family soon. Matt Di Angelo is still filming according to his Twitter so it may be a long time until Shirley and Linda will make amends.

I am holding out hope that Dean will leave around the time that Linda Henry takes her a/l (which is coming up, isn't it? July, I think someone said), I don't think this should go on until Christmas. When Shirley does find out, it will be a cracker of an episode. I hope we get some proper 2 hander scenes between Shirley and Linda.

2 hander episode Shirley and Linda or Shirley and Mick would be great.

If it's happening it needs to be with Linda - she's been sidelined in her own storyline enough for Shirley/Mick and Linda is the one Shirley has repeatedly attacked.

I'm beginning to tire of Shirley falling out with Mick, then teasing making up with him then falling out again. Even more so now Linda who before was trying to get Shirley close to Mick is now going to turn around and do the opposite. A bit of consistency would make everything better.

A three hander between Mick, Shirley and Linda would be fabulous. Or a two hander between Shirley and Linda, so long as there is a Shirley and Mick heart to heart in a separate episode. They still have a lot of stuff to go through.

I'm here for a two-hander between Shirley and Linda. The whole episode should be about Linda explaining fully what happened the night Dean attacked her with Shirley initially trying to challenge her before slowly realising that Linda is telling the truth. It could be fantastic if well written.

The thing is it was only a few weeks ago Linda was encouraging Mick to make things up with Shirley and saying she understood why she was lashing out.

I just don't think kids should be used as a weapon. If Shirley wanted to she could apply for access but it's unlikely she would get it. Not necessarily because of who she is as a person but because grandparents are rarely successful in doing so.

The spoilers don't say Mick goes behind Linda's back?

I think we're to assume that Shirley and Carly are still on good terms as nothing has been said to the contrary.

We don't know if it's a long term thing or if Shirley just barges in aggressively making demands and trying to bully Linda like normal and she just says no at that moment.

I suspect, sadly, that'll be it and it won't be Linda finally standing up for herself properly when it comes to Shirley.

They haven't done a two hander episode since 2010 and I really don't want Shirley involved. She is in almost every episode and she hogs a lot of screentime. But I rather have Shirley and Dean two hander than Mick/Linda...

Maybe a four hander with all of them is needed. I think that could be good. I don't think I could sit through a two hander with Mick and Linda.

A four hander would be perfect. If they do a two hander episode with Mick/Linda, I probably fall asleep.. Mick and Linda's scenes are always long so there is no point for them to have a two hander episode. I know Danny Dyer wants to film a two hander episode with Kellie Bright but no thanks.

Good for Linda. Too many times has she shown understanding and forgiveness for Shirley and too many times has it been thrown in her face, and for her to be attacked as a liar in return.
Linda abnd Mick should never, ever forgive Shirley for unconditionally believing Dean and bad-mouthing and bullying Linda on a daily basis ever since.

I think so too. They are the four core characters in the rape story and it would be good to conclude it with a fourhander between them and set it up as Dean's exit and the foundations for the beginnings of a Carter reconciliation. I'm still wondering how Shirley finds out and what Dean's exit will consist of.

I agree about Mick and Linda! I find the scenes between them as a couple incredibly dull, they already have more scenes than most couples so I don't think they would benefit from a two hander, Christmas was essentially Mick and Linda with the rest supporting. I am biased though as I don't really like them as a couple, I don't know what it is but they just don't have it, imo.

Well obviously if they were going to do a Mick & Linda two-hander it would've been for the rape reveal so it's clearly not going to happen so idk why people are pre-emptively imaking threats about switching off or complaining about the prospect when it's obviously not going to happen.

No kids shouldn't be used in arguments but at the end of the day its Shirley, she the last person you would ever want near your kids and as the mother Linda has the right to protect her child as she sees fit.

I doubt she even be able to get that far it depends if she registered as Mick mother, I'm presuming she not as Mick would have access to his birth certificate so would of known she was he mum if she was down so technically she isn't he legal mother or grandmother of that child, she seen as the aunt, so no rights.

No it doesn't say about Mick but this is how it will probably go, as he will be guilt trip in to doing so.

Yes, if I was Linda I wouldn't let Shirley any where near my baby. Linda has tried to be understanding in recent months and Shirley has thrown it back in her face every time, including only hours after she gave birth in very traumatic circumstances. It's not just a question of revenge either, I wouldn't trust Shirley not to try and posion the baby's mind against Linda as he grows up with tales of how Mummy being nasty means that Uncle Dean can't come and play with him.
