[quote=calamity;78352604]so Im a womble for caring about dogs being mistreated, you live in a fantasy
you really need to go read up on heel work to music and see the benefits these activities have for both dogs and owners.
Healthy happy well trained well adjusted dogs enjoying what they are doing and having a close bond with therir owner is more preferable to me than seeing a dog chained in a garden all day with no mental stimulation no physical contact, never taken for a walk or a dog that is used purely to chase down rabbits etc beaten when it doesn't perform then shut away till next time or a poor dog being used purely as a status symbol for some **** who wants to look hard.
Because working within rescue I have seen real cruelty cases that would make your hair curl. I have also seen rescued dogs collies especially those who have come from homes where they have been mistreated or neglected because owners get them without realising how much time and attention they need many have gone on to live wonderful lives with loving owners who understand that they need to be stimulated and trained to keep them happy and healthy. Heel work to music or doggy dancing is great for both owner and dog and it is all done with positive reward based training. I don't know why this idea persists that to have a dog do these things it must have been beaten. You will never get a dog to the standard of Matisse and chase by using harsh unacceptable methods.
