Yep, and bred as close as mother/son, father/daughter until quite recently. Being closely inbred is going to cause a lot more harm than doing a handstand for a few seconds.

Well said alan_m. So many pedigree breeds have been inbred for decades and the dogs are more likely to suffer bone and joint disease, have problems breathing and generally be unhealthy. They have caused breeds like bulldogs to become extremely unhealthy because of some stupid idea that they look better the way they are now.

The RSPCA should be prosecuting the Kennel Club for animal cruelty IMO.
