You do wonder sometimes if people understand how the internet works:

If you want to see if they sell something just search on their site and you will find!

And people shouldn't assume. I've already looked on Amazon. All the sellers are from abroad. It's not released in the UK yet.

It's not here just yet. Still a fair few bugs to iron out too.

Otherwise, it's a great phone.

Yes I wondered what happened as Carphone had it available for May then at the end of the month changed the availability to June. The is very little news about this phone on the web.

Haha as much as I'd like to I can't as my mum has a galaxy mega 6.3 and would go even larger given the opportunity

Out of interest what are the appeals of having such a large phone, video watching?

Personally I like having a phone <5.5" and a tablet about 10", means I can use my phone one handed and when one device runs out of battery I can just switchover to the other.

Well previously I had a LG G Pro 2 (5.9") and recently a Huawei Ascend Mate 7 (6.0") which are big screen phone themselves.

Videos is certainly a factor, ultimately I rarely use my phone as a phone in the traditional sense, it's either hands free calls via headset/headphones or video calls & plenty of email/IM.

Also I prefer to browse on a larger screen + have a powerful device for everything.

Right now I don't have a laptop or tablet, so my phone fills the "away from desktop" experience.

Carphone Warehouse are now offering it on contract on their ID network.

The best deal seems to be £21.50 a month for 12 months and no upfront cost for the phone.

http://www.carphonewarehouse.com/phones/huawei-p8

Available from the 19th June.

The Carphone Warehouse being that much cheaper is strange, for anyone considering it I did notice that it said 3G in quite light text under the data bundle size.

Anybody that's interested in the P8 have a look on the UK Hot Deals site as Carphone Warehouse have it free for £21.50/month over 12 months with 1gb of data, texts and calls using their ID network.

A blinding deal although I think it might be a 3G only network, but that does not matter as Three's 3G network is more than adequate.

The SIM free price isn't even over £400 on the CPW and they aren't exactly cheap.

Are they sure it's the dual SIM version? Mine is 16GB and I have 128GB memory card in the second slot that can't take a SIM.

The 64GB is dual SIM, and has the extra storage because if you use the second SIM slot then you can't use a memory card.

I was looking at Amazon, its £380 on CPW never even realised they sold it at that price.
After cashback im only paying £233 for it on the 12 month deal

I'd rather buy the phone and go SIM only, it will be £350 at the most before you know it.

The contracts irrelevant the price of the phone is cheaper on contract @ £258 rather than sim free at £380.I will give the sim to the wife and use my Three sim.

I think I prefer the Honor 6 plus. Most of the reviews I have seen seem to agree with this. Its also cheaper at £299.
