So it reported he sack the producers over this fraud, but he still keep the person who conned the public!
He's going to sack Ant and Dec? ROFL.

He must have been. He had a talking girlfriend and everything plus he was a magician so if he wasn't real he could have just used magic and made himself real.

My worry is for Zippy, Bungle and George. People are going to start thinking George wasn't actually a pink Hippo.

I hope Jules is proud of herself!
Noooo sweep was the grey dog! You're thinking of sooty!

Jesus Christ, these threads are the definition of a first world problem. She trained three dogs, used all three in a performance she had thought up herself and managed to make it extremely cohesive. I couldn't care less whether Matisse or Chase crossed the tightrope, she still trained it herself. Maybe you moaners could cross the tightrope yourselves so you can all get over it

So I am!

Sweep always seemed really timid. Maybe Jules could help him come out of his little shell.

Can the matter be layed to rest. Some of you must have sad lives if this is all you have to care about. All you shouting the odds, must be terrible to live with. Do you carry on when you know that it is a stunt double in a film or TV show ? Thought not.

Maybe Sue could cross the tightrope and we could have this bull....sorry, fun again!

Although certain posters probably think Sooty, Sue and Sweet were fraudsters because there weren't actual animals and instead puppets with hands up their backsides.

I wonder if Old Endeavour has been on to the police yet?

He seems to have gone quiet. I wonder if he's been fined?

I think he knows we are onto his joke and has bowed out gracefully.

Perhaps he's down the police station as we type!

This is, after all akin to murder!

Indeed. There hasn't been anything bigger than this since Jack The Ripper.

Sadly not. Just switched to another thread to tell us all what the minimum legal requirement is now.

And to tell us how carrying on as though Jules won is carrying on under false pretences. So now she didn't even really win. That must have been faked too.

I can only assume, especially using the name Old Endeavour that they've watched too much Moorse and have convinced themselves they know the ins and outs of the law.

I agree with this. All of the dogs in the performances were her dogs, she trained all of them so I really don't understand why it has become such an issue.

Be interesting if Ofcom come down on the show as a scam, wonder what Cowell will do.

Cowell can afford a LOT of fines.

If people are REALLY concerned about things like this, the true remedy is not some complex court case to strip Jules of her prize. It's not even the fines against the producers, although those probably should be levied anyway (which is NOT the same as wasting time and money going after poor Jules). It's getting more specific laws passed about what reality TV can and can't present, and how.

I mean I keep returning to how much WORSE Big Brother is in terms of this than BGT, with a mere mislabeled act and/or stunt dog that's outraged people so out of proportion. Is that really worse than a show like Big Brother, where they basically change the rules ON THE FLY, constantly, with no integrity, consistency or fairplay? That's FAR worse (and yet justified only by the thin excuse that whoever they manipulate into being up for a vote was "voted out by the public"--even though how often, how many, and who they're up against is ridiculously manipulated).

So again, the remedy for dogs being inadequately labeled, for huge amounts of producer fraud on Big Brother, and for the many other shows that offend people's sense of fairplay are remedies that go beyond what Ofcom seems allowed/capable of controlling (or a travesty like Big Brother wouldn't even exist in the ugly form it does). If it bothers you THAT much, talk to lawmakers. Make sure producers have guidelines they're supposed to follow BEFORE filming shows, rather than it being up to slapdash enforcement after the fact.

Scrap the show. He's so rich it really doesn't matter to him anyway.

He'll just make a new one next year that will undoubtedly do as well.
