What did Pete actually do? I am confused because of the lack of care from her family.

I thought that Pete raped Porsche and that it was ongoing abuse, but people just mention a kiss and Porsche isn't correcting them, her sisters are on Pete's side and even Mercedes is now telling Porsche to move on.

Finally JP arrives back, but he KNOWS NOTHING! so we see no reaction.

You would have thought with JP, Nana, Phoebe (who is conveniently out of the way) and Jacqui having been raped that the family would be more sympathetic and go on the attack to protect their own.

But Celine, that is absolutely ridiculous. I was loving until the last few minutes that she seems to think it's OK because she can physically defend herself which she probably couldn't.

Cleo and Celine are actually unbelievable. It's not just a case of them not believing Porsche, they know what Pete did to her but somehow they are trying to put the blame on Porsche. Accusing her of overreacting, leading him on. Celine even suggested that because Porsche had boyfriends at that age, what Pete did wasn't so bad. Mercedes especially pissed me off. One minute she is completely on Porsche's side, saying that what Pete did was wrong and can't be excused and the next she's saying Porsche should forgive him and let it go.

Why would Mercy change her mind?...no way would that happen she would defend her family especially against a dude she's jut met.....unbelievable personality transplant

She does smile quite a lot despite being a whiny brat. Usually inappropriately, she has a kind of pre-whine smile.

I can sort of understand where she's coming from, though that doesn't make it right Pete is the only father she's ever known. He's always been loving and affectionate towards her (and most likely had begun grooming her, though she doesn't recognise it as such.) She knows that having him around makes Reenie more stable, and without him Reenie will just get into more and more trouble: crime, drink, drugs, many other scary things that Cleo has witnessed from her. She doesn't want to believe that her "dad", her mother's knight in shining armour, could be so evil. And what he says sounds plausible: Porsche was a flirt, she did dress provocatively, she went out with much older men ... (Of course this never EVER justifies abuse but sadly our society still has a "she must have been asking for it" mentality which a lot of young girls believe, it's no surprise that Cleo does)

I don't know how it will play out with JP's reaction, but in today's ep he did not look unbothered to me. He asked what was going on & I thought he looked confused & concerned!!!

Exactly!! To be honest I'd rather Pete just be super manipulate and make Celine and Cleo doubt Porsche. I'd be less painful and frustrating to watch than Pete openingly admit what he did to Porsche and have Celine and Cleo try to justify it by saying Porsche's overreacting, she had boyfriends so it wasn't so bad, he should be forgiven etc. It's really upsetting to watch.

He could see how distressed Porsche was- he would insist on the truth. With her in that state he would be much more supportive.

I don't think Pete raped her as Porsche would've corrected them, but certainly he groomed her, then touched her inappropriately. I think Pete may have been grooming Cleo before (and possibly Celine) but she doesn't realize. This could change with Porsche's revelation now though.

I completely agree. I'd rather it be a case of she said, he said. I'd rather Pete be super manipulative and deny everything with Celine and Cleo conflicting about who's telling the truth, but instead Pete openingly admitted what he did to Porsche and instead of them being mad at Pete they're trying to put the blame on Porsche. Suggesting she's overreacting because she's had boyfriends at that age, suggesting she should forgive him and let it go. If I was Porsche's position I would probably disown my family right there and then

I had a feeling they would do the whole everyone believes the abuser and not the victim routine. How long will this be dragged out? A month? 6? I have no doubt Twinnie Lee Moore will be fantastic but it's painful and frustrating to watch over again. We've just had this with JP lat year with Finn. Why do we need it again? Is it so hard to do an abuse storyline and have people believe the victim? Is that too simple for these brain dead morons?

Cleo I have a feeling this storyline will be like Whitney and Tony in Eastenders. Pete groomed her from an early age and had her believe they were an item and had something which she didn't question due to how carefully he manipulated her.

IIRC, Twinnie-Lee has said that Pete raped Porsche. They might have changed that though, or else Porsche could just be too ashamed to admit it happened?
