I'd love it, if it turned out that he intended to put in a fake letter, but when he opened it, it turned out it was Adam's baby, so he didn't need to bother, then just posted it back through the letter box!

With all this stress at exam time is he going to pass them? Come to think of it is he bright enough academically to go to university, because there hasn't been much evidence of it?

I missed that bit; I thought that Rakesh took the letter to satisfy himself of the truth, so that Vanessa could pretend it was Kirin's, he being the better financial catch. So, the baby is Kirin's, this should be interesting.

He appears to be one of those people who are gifted with natural intelligence, which rarely goes hand in hand with the gift of common sense.

The baby is obviously Kirin's. She's been with what... 2 people her entire ED stint? That means the baby could belong to anybody

Also, she and Kirin had split up when she had the one night stand with Adam so she never actually cheated on Kirin at any point. No moral boundaries my ar$e!

Rakesh steamed open the letter and doctored it to show that Adam was the baby's father.The truth is that the letter stated that Adam was 0% so he is not the baby's father and Kirin is.

I didn't think that they could do a test for paternity until the baby was born, like in Eastenders with Linda and Micks baby. The test was done after the baby was born.

Vanessa will probably give birth prematurely (after all, how often during these soap pregnancy plots does the mum to be have the baby at full term?) leading to "baby in danger, needs a donor" storyline

Then it'll all come out about Kirin being the dad after all, leaving Rakesh with plenty of explaining to do.

I wondered if maybe Vanessa would have a termination (not sure if she's too far gone for that, but I didn't think so) because she decides she just can't bring up the child on her own. Then finds out it was Kirin's baby after all. Cue them both being heartbroken.

Not sure how she would find out though. Maybe someone finds the original letter.

I'm not sure Vanessa is being punished more than Adam... Robert was about to have Adam put back in prison and then Victoria went to mow him down in her car. She has also broke his possessions (which is illegal) and yelled at him as much as Kirin has Vanessa.

Adam didn't go to prison and he didn't get hit by a car though. Nothing happened, except Victoria forgave him pretty much straight away. He wasn't dumped, hit and publically called a slapper. I'd take a few broken items any day over a physical attack and public humiliation.

Kirin didn't even need to forgive Vanessa for cheating anyway. She's been dumped and is now pregnant with a baby she thinks belongs to the village idiot.

Yes, technically she didn't do anything wrong but it doesn't change the fact that she hurt Kirin. Kirin and Victoria are the victims in this.

What are you talking about? I just said that Vanessa didn't cheat, which she didn't. Where did you get that I think Vanessa's actions weren't wrong from? Kirin has a right to be hurt, but Victoria is the one who was cheated on.
