I bought second hand from Cash Generator, a Out Of Contract You View box, I record the Jeremy Kyle show whilst I am at work but finding that sometimes the recordings fail, because for some reason the box tries to record the same show from ITV Wales, ITV 2 and ITV HD all at the same time, I know it's nothing to do with signal strength and quality via my indoor aerial as my older BT Vision box recorded with no problems, I record Top Of The Pops : 1980 on BBC4 on the You View and that records no trouble, would fully resetting the box solve the problem? I don't mind losing the recordings I have already got.
I am starting to think that it's ITV's EPG being a bit corrupted and it's confusing the box.

Your older BT Vision box may have a more sensitive tuner. An indoor aerial is always a bit of a lottery with digital transmissions. There is certainly nothing to be lost by resetting the box, especially as you don't mind losing the recordings. If it fixes the issue, all is well. If not, I would consider installing an external aerial.

Have you connected the box to the internet to make sure it has the latest firmware?

When you set up the recording from the guide, did you select "series record", or "record only this episode"? I'm wondering if "series record" might be confusing the box.

Looking at the programme identifiers for the next week's 'This Morning' broadcasts ITV are allocating the same programme identifier to the second part as the first part. This looks as though it may be causing the DTR-T2100 to think that after recording the first part it has also recorded the second part so doesn't record it.

I'll try recording it on my DTR-T2100, on my TalkTalk DN372N and on a Humax Freeview (i.e. non-Youview) HD recorder and report back.
Having set up all 3 timers curiously the Humax freeview box is telling me that it will record both parts.

For my area the epg series and programme identifiers (which don't show up using Youview) look correct for the JK Show on ITV local, ITV HD and ITV+1.

ITV2 and ITV2 +1 look a bit dodgy but unless you also have a series timer for ITV2 or ITV"+1 as well I doubt that it would interfere with the ITV1 series' timers.

Do you have more than 1 timer in the schedule for the JK Show? What does your Youview schedule show for the timer or timers that are set up for the Jeremy Kyle Show? Which is the next JK Show on which channel that it says will be recorded for each of the JK timers in the schedule?

What I was attempting to say earlier today is wrong.

Both parts of the same programme should have the same programme identifier, and also the epg programme event has a special spit programme type. I have checked and the programmes for the next week on ITV, ITV+1 and ITV HD all are defined as split programmes and also have the same programme id as its corresponding other half.
I'll record the programme on various recorders anyway but for at least this coming week its looking good. My suspicion is that all my recordings will be OK.
