Jason (BB5) - I'm still stunned that he made it to the final.

I'd have to say Helen too, I mean how lucky was she - considering the drama that she brought to the house - to get that, there's no way she'd have made it to the end otherwise.

Another very lucky hm, i've just thought of was John Loughton the winner of Celeb Hijack who actually got his pass to the final on day one - take that Helen!, albeit he had to do something to earn his and of course that was a much shorter series and so there were less evictions to dodge thanks to his pass. So Helen still takes it.

She was given the Golden Ticket the week before the final; a bit of a waste really, as there was no chance she was going to be evicted that final week anyway. They had to choose quickly, though, so they didn't really get much time to think it through, although the housemates loved her and I imagine would have given it to her even given more thinking time.

Helen. No way would she have lasted very long without her pass.

Not only was Josie given a pass to the final, the producers then proceeded to evict ALL of her potential rivals to win in an unprecedented (then) all up (except Josie) and four out eviction.

Every potential winner was evicted. As she would also have been, were she not protected.

Luckiest HM ever, perhaps. Luckiest winner, certainly. Spent the entire series hidden under a duvet and had the title handed to her on a plate.

Disagree. She would've been up along with the rest of the house and been voted out in the mass eviction.

People on the outside were sick of her by then - more so than they were of Pepper, that orange woman and whoever else it was that fell at the final hurdle?

She would have been out and Steve would have stayed I think. She definitely would have gone along with Corin, JJ and Sam.

Yes - Steve only got 9% of the eviction vote but was still kicked out. Josie would've easily topped that.

It remains the worst twist ever. It made the final utterly pointless and without even an outside chance of any other result than a Josie win.

Helen Wood, firstly to get that free pass to the final.... then to have actually won after being horrible to just about everyone in the house (and the GBP) she still manages to win...quite amazing.

Finished second. Truly amazing. From memory, he seemed to all but give up after the "fight night" debacle and spent the rest of his time gurning in the mirror whilst applying shit loads of moisturiser.

Not sure if it appropriate to say but in terms of being a HM Jade Goody was lucky she was nearly evicted after one week when nominated by the public but saved by her fellow HMs. Considering she went on to the final and a lucrative career she was lucky at that time in her life. Does anyone remember that Scottish lass Lynne who was evicted.

Not as lucky as Nadia was for winning BB5.
