With a degree in organic chemistry, as well as his perceptive skills, I'd say he probs is

He's also probably the most self-aware.

Not at all. He just has about 3 weeks worth of watching the other people in there which puts him at an advantage. Joel and Nick are a lot more articulate and intelligent than foul mouthed Marc. If he was intelligent he wouldn't have called Chloe fat and in need of an STI test after half an hour of knowing her.

at what stage did he call her fat? and he never said that she was 'in need' of an STI test

for someone meant to be very smart Marc didnt know how to explain something so basic as "insecure" to Cristian. He asked the guy who cant spell canoe for the answer.

I'd say the most intelligent housemates are (in order):

Marc, despite his tomfoolery, has exceptional social skills and a degree in organic chemistry.
Nick, although he didn't do well in his education, is naturally astute and emotionally intelligent.
Noel is quite erudite for his age, though socially naïve.
Cristian, currently studying Biomedical Science but can't articulate himself.

The rest are idiots in assorted flavours.

Noel...Gallagher?

Mine would be something like...

Nick
Joel
Simon
Marc
Jade

The rest I would put on the lower end of the spectrum, maybe with Eileen and Cristian slightly above them. Jack quite low as expected

pretty much they are all stupid, being the brainiest out of this lot, all that means is you'd be an averagely intelligent lump of lard.

Or at a chimps tea party the chimp who gets to hold the teapot.

To be fair though, I think Marc does have a very high level of social intelligence. He seems to judge just what the limit is to how far he can push to.
He also handled Danny shouting in his face with a lot of skill, and knew perfectly well what he was doing when he dry-humped Danny.
Somehow he's managed to find his way to charm the original housemates and is letting Simon take all the flak.

I've got to say that he must have a certain level of intelligence to be able to do whatever it is he's doing.
Look at Simon, he's played it like a chump.

Id replace Cristian with Simon who may be low in some areas of EQ like self-awareness, but does seem to have some intelligence. Cristian doesn't demonstrate much of anything despite his degree.

The rest of your ranking I agree with. Marc seems to have one of those quick 'monkey minds' despite his Neanderthal social grace.

I don't know how intelligent he is, but imo he seem to be earning his keep since he has been in the house. He is not backward at coming forward...lol

personally, I don't like him, he is sailing close to the wind and will probably be ejected rom the house for his behaviour. oops sorry, he is in the house because his masters pay towards Big Brother and is one of two of their chosen housemates. silly me.

He is playing the game to perfection, Christian , nick and Eileen plus the new Hm if they have got a brain when it comes to noms wont put votes his way. All thought I feel Sam may. The HM themselves said the public at this stage wont vote him out, their only chance is to get him thrown out. All done in 4 days that has to be a record, noms next week will be interesting.

IMO Simon is a definite to be up for next weeks eviction, Eileen will throw a nom in Harry's way but others will throw a few at Sam for her part in this week's nominations.

Unless there is a big nom twist to save Simon, Simon will be gone next week

Even though Marc is a dick, majority of the HMs quite like him deep down.
Marc is playing a blinder in the House right now, being a dick and stirring up shit when it's needed but he has no problems showing his softer side.

Jeesh what a bunch of stupid women we have going by these lists.

With Rylan having hinted at another HM at some point, the most obvious gap to fill would be an intelligent woman.

As we are losing Joel on Friday we will need a female with dry wit, not threateningly attractive, with a long fuse, strong enough to hold her own. The way it's going i think she would become my favourite.

Actually I had the feeling that he was making a point there as he knows Danny is very insecure, as he then went on to point out.

That does not mean he is thick. He knew what insecure is but he was trying to dumb down the answer so that christian understood. Maybe he is not used to doing that.

I have to change the way I speak to very small kids in my job, especially explaining concepts in a simple way and that was a skill that took a while to master. That sounds silly but changing the way you speak for others to understand and rephrasing it it is not easy and does not mean you are thick if you have to think for a moment.

If anything i was shocked that christian did not know what insecure is.

The last time this was mentioned, it was stated that he was in the final stages of a doctorate. Now YOU have it as a degree. Which one, if any, is the truth?

No. He is not intelligent. And what's this about a degree in Chemistry?
I'd be surprised if he can write his name
